Why do White people have such a weird relationship dynamic with Native Americans?

I mean... We're kinda living in this unusual point in human history when the ancestors of the conquerors have been made to feel bad for what the conquerors did.

Admittedly, what happened to the Natives was wrong on a lot of levels, but there's always a middle ground to be found in stuff like this. Some stuff is worse than we recorded. Some will be much better than it was recorded.

Here's an unfortunate reality that no one wants to talk about; a whole bunch of Native tribes were hostile, awful groups of people that the more peaceful tribes wanted to get rid of, so they worked with the White man to kill off the hostile tribes.

It is because of the myth of the noble savage, a noble savage is a literary character that embodies the concept of indigenous, foreigner, savage human, an "other" who has not been "corrupted" by civilization and therefore symbolizes goodness innate of humanity.

I think you may be confusing respecting their laws with references. Many native American tribes have reservations and tribal governments with legal authority over said land which everyone has to follow when there like any other goverment.
