I live in a diverse city. I love it. But I also see a lot of racism and stereotypes from every culture. And there is some segregation. Different cultures and ethnicities choosing neighborhoods in the city and congregating there. I’ve seen landlords renting out basement suites and prioritizing those of their ethnic group over others, or specifying a certain lifestyle they’ll accept like vegetarian or vegan as some meats go against their beliefs. I do think it’s illegal to post ads like that (I’d have to check the landlord and tenants act so don’t quote me on that) but I also understand the thought process behind it.

As a white person specifically, I feel like other races and cultures have contributed and are the reason for so much of the way that I live each day. I cannot imagine having a life in which I was only exposed to the types of things that white people created. Other races have come up with and are the reason for the existence of so many different things that I enjoy daily. Not to mention the fact that when I hang out with my friends that are ethnically different from myself and we have discussions, I never fail to walk away with a completely different way of looking at a given situation.


Diversity is essential to growth and development of a society in my opinion.

Intellectual diversity sure I don’t really care about racial diversity I don’t think it’s useful or productive, if someone black is qualified to get a job and live in a city ok cool if he’s not rich and qualified to get a job and live in a city he shouldn’t live there, the same idea goes for whites have a white guy Isn’t qualify to get a job and live in the city send it white guys should not be living in a city or I have the job is not qualify for.

i grew up in philly, it was all races, colors and creeds, im mixed myself. its no matter to me. i just want to be the opposite directions of most people these days

We want to say diverse as there can be great strength in diversity. But the reality is thanks to politics we know what happens to such city, if there is anything more than a politically insignificant minority.

Politicians seeking to rule without accountability to their results directly or indirectly grab on to the immutable characteristics, and cultural differences to play one side off the other to the point where anyone playing that game is doom to almost always have largely unaccountably bad leadership and ideas.

I’ve many comrades of all kinds of so-called races. Why should We be separated, as We all love each other? Together We stand, divided We fall, so come together! Many Whites marry Blacks, many Blacks marry Whites, and Asians may marry either, so it’d be quite racist to put up bloody segregation.

I have lived in places where there were only white people, and it's boring as hell. People from other races and colors are the most interesting people in the world as far as I am concerned - they bring different ideas, different customs, and different foods to the mix. Being around only white people feels a lot like being in an echo chamber.
