+1 y1. Allowing minors to get any "gender reaffirming surgery " or be given hormones. This is one of the things that should be illegal on a moral/local level everywhere, since the federal government doesn't actually have the right to regulate this.
2. Allowing the government to Intervene with the economy and businesses in any sense beside any protectionism policies (considering how the federal government has been willingly selling their own people and nation to the CCP).
3. Marriage, welfare, healthcare, and education. I don't think the federal government has any right to be involved in any of these things and, if anything, should be left up to local governments and people.
4. Talking about marriage, paternity fraud and adultery should be severely illegal. Again, at a local level, but everywhere.
5. Making false campaign promises and lying should also be an impeachable offence and a reason for removal for ALL politicians. The US has gone to war many times without being attacked under presidents who've promised to either not enter into a war or stop the current one.
6. Income taxes, which started a little over a 100 years ago. Prior to that, the government received money on sale taxes and tariffs. The federal reserve started around the same time and should also be eliminated.
There's more that I could add and there's probably is more but this is literally long enough to be a mytake at this point lol.

What is illegal and should become legal?
1. Prostitution.
2. Marijuana (I don't like it at all, but keeping it illegal causes bigger problems than just legalizing and taxing it).

1.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Anonymous policing. An officer working for the public in a public capacity should be required to be identified.
I'm specifically talking riot police that are at rallies and what not. They should be clearly marked so if they do commit crimes that they can be easily identified.
Further any act of trying to hide ones identity should be considered an act of premeditation and disqualify them from immunity.

2. Businesses refusing to do business with you due to your political beliefs. I fully support them not wanting to take your money but IF they want to stop business with you, they should be required (at their expense) to find another business to take their place.
If they cannot find another business, they have to keep you as a client until such time they can.
Essentially outlawing the social credit score system.
3. Censoring speech online, if your a public business, that allows anyone to join. They should be required to allow anyone to say what they want, or else you cannot be open to the public.

1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I've always thought it odd that having insider knowledge of large companies is considered illegal insider trading. Having knowledge about the innerworkings of companies is what everybody wants, and the whole point of investing in companies!
Plus, don't get me started on "fiduciary responsibility to shareholders" - the cozy blanket under which all evil deeds are done. Fuck that. And fuck companies - especially merging and conglomerates - who want more power, and more money, and basically stop at nothing to get it. Oh, and give their CEOs huge salaries, with bonuses, even in shortfall and lean economic times. Jesus christ was a racket.
30 ReplyAffairs when married. If polygamy is illegal, why isn't having an affair, especially long term, treated similarly? Isn't it basically the same thing (one person having intimate relationship with two partners)?
In polygamy, all parties know about it, while an affair is about breaking trust behind partner's back, which in my eyes makes it worse (even if it is not legally binding contract as is marriage).10 ReplyOnlyfans. Not just onlyfans, all pornography should be made illegal. Should be treated the same way that they treat narcotics for it's effect on the brain.

I am personally quite sensitive to smoke, it causes nasal irritation. Not to mention the effects of second-hand smoke.

+1 yBoth need to be eliminated. That is Satan's law trying to replace work out your own salvation with fear and trembling in order to not see God's light as fire when he comes back or when the body dies. A person seeing God as fire when the soul leaves the body will end up in Satan's prison. That is the worst prison that can ever be. Islamic law is used there. 1 Peter 3:19 - 20, KJV. Fire givers will get what they give.

@Kingofkings1992 Well, you are young and stupid so I will cut you some slack because you have no knowledge about the history of inflation or its causation or how to kill it.
This inflation was caused by the recovery from COVID-19. In case you have forgotten, the world economy took a huge hit because of the pandemic and that caused some prices to decrease, but, worse, adversely affected the supply chain... since products are being bought, they don't need to be manufactured or shipped and those companies that do those things are hit as well. Now that the pandemic is ending, demand is rising and so, because demand is higher than supply, prices go up.
That's economics 101. Take economics 101 - it's a good course. Then, while you're at it, consider taking a course in microeconomic and macroeconomics. Then, you can make intelligent informed decisions about economics instead of proudly announcing your ignorance and easily-manipulated tendencies to the world.
As for gasoline, this is also part of the inflation, but also a large part due to the Russia-Ukraine war and OPEC+ not helping the situation. In the long-run, this won't be an issue because of the war and because of the world-wide transformation toward a green economy - something the GOP was against since the late 1970s. You weren't alive then, so you wouldn't be aware of it. To you, that's an arcane understated item from history. Well, I lived through it, so, to me, it's not history, but current events that happened long ago and, over the intervening 40+ years, I've watched how events unfolded as the GOP revealed its true colors.

Insults from you have about as much impact on me as a kindergarten teacher being called a "poopyhead" by a 5-year-old being pissy because it's naptime.
Do you know why I am a "liberal" (your words, not mine)?
No media taught me to be this way.
No teacher taught me to be this.
It's because for the past 50 years, I've watched both parties and they taught me about themselves. (*) What were you doing 50 years ago?
(*) It's the same reason why the overwhelming majority of scientists - people like me - are "left-of-center".

From that Pew Research link:
================
The scientists’ belief that the scientific community is politically liberal is largely accurate. Slightly more than half of scientists (52%) describe their own political views as liberal, including 14% who describe themselves as very liberal. Among the general public, 20% describe themselves as liberal, with just 5% calling themselves very liberal.
Most scientists identify as Democrats (55%), while 32% identify as independents and just 6% say they are Republicans. When the leanings of independents are considered, fully 81% identify as Democrats or lean to the Democratic Party, compared with 12% who either identify as Republicans or lean toward the GOP. Among the public, there are far fewer self-described Democrats (35%) and far more Republicans (23%). Overall, 52% of the public identifies as Democratic or leans Democratic, while 35% identifies as Republican or leans Republican. - +1 y

Who and how will government services be funded? Should we pay every police officer, fireman, garbage collector, etc. individually?
- +1 y
So if I need assistance from police, I should pay for their service full price and you pay nothing. Correct? Okay. What if a broke person needs to go to the hospital because some a-hole cut him up with a knife? Should he be left on the street to die from blood loss? I don't think anyone would find that acceptable.
- +1 y
My point was about what are people who don't have the money to pay for services they need supposed to do? I don't think it would be fair to treat broke people as inhumane.
- +1 y
@Newsreader even that logic is flawed. Just because I can afford it means I should have to pay for it even though I don't use it?
People are supposed to pay for whatever they want and need it's that simple. If you want to have a gender transformation then you pay for it. If I want to call the police then I pay for it.
This idea of paying for overpriced services that you may never use is absolutely ludicrous especially when that provider has no incentive to deliver on their business proposal.
