If I have to choose between only these two choices, I'd rather be rich in a poor country. I can easily survive there, and I can use some of my riches to help the poor.

Both have their advantages in the year 2022, but given the choice, I’d rather be a warlord in a Third World country that a welfare king in a first world country.
