Why do some people linger in my personal space?

Always when I am out in public. Crowded or being only a few people in the whole building. Someone always finds a way to linger somewhere around me. It can get pretty annoying that or someone always bumping into you when there is plenty of room and won't even say excuse me when it was clearly their fault and sometimes seems almost intentional.

I don't want to be rude I know that some people don't do it intentionally. But it really makes me feel weird and paranoid when someone constantly is around me not really doing anything but seemingly just following me.

Sometimes I give someone a dirty look and they seem to disappear... Other times they just still come around.

I don't get it... Does anyone else have this problem of people lingering around them? Sometimes it is funny to crop dust a area and sometimes if I have gas they will somehow... Again LMAO not be around much longer. That or pretend I am talking on the phone about something weird.

I don't want to be rude. But someone is ALWAYS in my way. It is almost like they to it INTENTIONALLY and it really has been becoming a pet peeve of mine. Especially if they aren't really even doing anything.

Why do strangers follow people around anyways?

A instance... There was a lady at a bookstore. I am walking around just looking at books and stuff. It is always the same people too.

She number one bumped into me. Nobody else was down that isle she was just not paying any attention. She would keep just when I would look at something keep reaching over right in front of me not saying excuse me or nothing and just grab what seemed like a random book.

After she did that the third time I gave her the side eye and she just walked away...

But then... It was almost like she was stalking me. Then I was waiting in line at the register... She is there again right behind me. There was plenty of room but she was invading my space. You would think that she would notice that I was trying to keep some distance and she just like every time I took a step she would inch closer.

I don't want to be a dick. But how can you tell someone they are invading your space? Some people don't get the hint. Sometimes you can say excuse me or give dirty looks or crop dust the whole area (I mean maybe not the best thing to do but it sometimes works)

Maybe they like me? I don't know what the deal is but it is super weird

Maybe, you are overthinking or need to remove yourself from their presence. If you believe it to be real then nicely ask them “what May I do for you?” Reasonable 🤷🏻‍♂️

I do... But this is a number of people everywhere I go. Removing myself form their presence would mean I would have to stop whatever I am doing. Just for them to follow me around.

Some people aren't so bad. But it just is kind of creepy and I am pretty self conscious and situationally aware I always know whose around me. I have told people stuff before sometimes they just say sorry. Sometimes nothing. Other times get really angry. I don't want to be a dick.

But... If you're trying to do something... Are you going to be forced to walk away form it just to get away from space invaders?

If someone needs something from me or wants to talk to me then just say something.

You asked me. Look I don't take it THAT seriously you asked me so I was elaborating a bit. More often then not it is simply mildly annoying. But you can't really just remove yourself form someone's presence if you're busy and they are pestering you but not even really saying anything

I’ve talked to you long enough to sense paranoid anxiety. You could benefit from running this by a counselor. You said, “it is like everyone and they would still follow you around.” 🤷🏻‍♂️
