A few years ago when we had the brexit refendum the most common reason people voted leave was "to kick foreigners out" so it's going to be quite interesting to see how people react to an Indian in charge of a right wing party. Another point is conservatives tend to be more popular with very old people. Old people of course tend to be racist so that could affect the polls.

As for sunak himself he admits taking money from deprived urban areas and giving it to other wealthier towns. Which is pretty much what you expect from a tory. I think we're going to see a lot more of that kind of logic.

He's PM of the United Kingdom. They're like the least racist country in Europe. He was born and raised in the UK. I SERIOUSLY doubt his ethnicity is going to be much of a factor.
