Yeah, he's quite a loyal defender of Christian nationalism for some reason. I guess he knows the left will never supply him with the entertaining hate he needs to feed his addiction, so like a crack head putting their life on the line to protect their dealer, he will absolutely sacrifice anything he must to stay mad. Indeed. They get a little thrill out of knowing we can't prove they don't believe it. Typically, pathological lying is an attribute of a malignant narcissist. I don't think many of the far right defenders are necessarily malignant narcissists, but their leaders are so they aspire to be. They don't seem to get that it is a weakness, not a strength - the desperate dependence on making others believe the untrue all falls to crippling sobs when people dont. Far right defenders are glad not to have such a dependency even if they are not aware that they don't have it, and would not be pleased with themselves if they ever caught the malignant narcissism they so ravenous chase.
