If Progressives actually did anything they said they were going to do, they wouldn't be Progressives and the pathetic loser man and woman-children that they are, to begin with. I always said, if I was president of the United States, I'd pressure Progressives to give up their cushy first world lifestyles and leave "AmeriKKKa" to move to North Korea to help those poor, impoverished oppressed minorities by giving them their spot in America, in exchange. Or at the very least, China. Hell, I'll even accept Mexico. I'd call it the Progressive Exchange Program. Help out a poor North Korean, Chinese, or Mexican minority by giving them your citizenship and finally moving away from all these "huwites" and "conservative, racist, sexist Trump supporters" they hate so much. I am going with what he said originally. Because the man acquired a platform who's value has declined 30%. He has to make up that difference. And he is using all kind of schemes to do so. Again, it is his platform and he can do whatever he wants. But the way you guys pretend this is about politics is hilarious. Twitter makes money off advertising. Advertisers go there because of content. Content is generated by the users.

And you guys have a circular argument. Somehow moderation is a political issue, just like a business like Nike wants to advertise in a trollish environment with racial insults, slurs, conspiracy theories being tossed about. If what you say were true, advertisers would use Parler, GaB, 4chan, etc. They would go to all the troll dens and pay them money to advertise on their platforms. It is pretty obvious that they do not.

Musk figures that people will pay the fee. And he is counting on that fee to drive revenue. So of course there will be limitations on "free users". Pretending that there will not be is not a rational position. Folks who are verified will have privileges, rewards, etc. that ordinary users simply will not have access to.

And again, I ask why? We create the content. And he is selling that for money.

It’s not easy to migrate to Canada. They actually have stricter immigration controls than the US. They also have a very high cost of living. So those two factors could ultimately discourage most people. Nobody is leaving Twitter though. They’re too addicted to it and ultimately I doubt that much is going to change under Elon.
