Why is Trump so mad at DeSantis?

Trump is petty. So is Biden if you pay close attention, but Trump is far more vocal about any perceived slight. DeSantis had just won a huge victory and reporters started asking him about 2024. Because he did not say, "Only if Trump doesn't run." Trump took it as a personal affront and disloyalty.

Trump correctly views him as a rival for the 2024 nomination, and a much more capable one than people like Cruz, Haley, Noem, or (LOL) Pence. So it's a preemptive attack. But I think it's a mistake.

He's just being who he is. All the Republicans he slammed the last time, have rallied around him. It's just his style, and it worked.

But I do think he needs to change his strategy. He needs to stop going after his own teammates. Trump has a proven track record, and he should just ride that wave.

Trump and DeSantis are both the Republican frontrunners to oppose Biden for the 2024 presidency, so they're competitive rivals now. That's why. It worked for Trump in 2016, but I don't think it'll work again, cause he no longer has the momentum he used to. And DeSantis needs more swing-voter support, so I think him not engaging with Trump will win over those sick of Biden as well. Trump is shooting himself in the foot and doesn't even realize it yet.

I don't care for either one of them being president in 2024 (would rather have Tulsi Gabbard, to be honest), but I'll take anyone more competent that Biden, at this point.

I liked Trump's policies, but not the man, so I have NEVER EVER listened to anything he has to say, and since he has zero policies now. I don't pay attention, no clue... but he is always mad at someone, so no surprise there.

@Aerissa_Jade Trump has hundreds of reasons to be pissed off. When he was our president the Democrats were always trying to destroy him just so he wouldn't be president again. They gave him a lot of grief during his entire presidency. It was grueling to listen to as well as being unbelievable that the Democrats would even do such terrible things.
But you, you sound like a cookie cutter American. So many people say that very same thing. But I bet you were reaping all of the benefits that Trump gave us, that Biden has destroyed! I think you should be a better listener when it comes to Trump. I listened to him very closely and I always liked what he said. Even his demeanor was so calming to me. @FunnyGiy Have you ever heard of "The Right To Try"Act that Donald Trump implemented? In May of 2018 he signed it in to make it happen. It us for terminally ill patients to have access to trial medications that would be their last try to stay alive. So, I found him very compassionate and humane.
There are too many things to count that he did for America. NAFTA is another one though. I liked the way he always stuck up for the unborn babies. Biden wants to kill them!
I don't dislike Donald Trump as a person. I like him as a person. I think he has a very kind heart. He didn't have to become our President, but he took his time and energy to make America 🇺🇸 a great country. He could have just not cares and continued with his life of luxury, but he didn't. So, please ask yourself was it so horrifying to have a United States citizen become the President of the United States to save it from further destruction by the Democrats who did not know how to run a country? 🇺🇸

@FunnyGiy I personally liked his energy policies and what he did for Rural America. Biden and Democrats, don't care about us... oh so what if a entire town of 200 people vanished and they all lost their jobs and houses cause of his energy policies.

The liberals blame the energy companies who closed up shop and say, it wasn't the president it was the companies... but the companies did that entirely because of what the president did on day 1 in office by shutting down so much.

Even though, some of it has been undone, it is one of the reasons gas is so high now. The energy companies are afraid to spend money to expand due to uncertainty. 70% of executives polled says that is why they are not increasing production and taking a wait and see approach as long as Biden is in office.

I get it, they don't want to invest millions just to lose it later... Trump was predictable so they could go nuts with expansion and production, and helping to keep costs down.

Now liberals will 100% blame the companies and Russia, while ignoring the Biden effect.

I also liked so many other things like Sage says, but I didn't like how Trump always had to insult people and name call, but then again the liberal media also took many things out of context... when anyone could research and find out the truth.

I think they want us to be poor and not be able to afford to buy food and one by one we will die and only the rich people will get to live. I heard something to that effect. Food has gone up because Diesel is sky high, most farms run on equipment that use Diesel as a fuel, so do the trucks that deliver food.

Those truckers are passing the cost on. Right now Diesel is a 1.40 more than unleaded around here. My parents have a farm/ranch and just raise costs to do it... but labor also. As everyone is paying more for workers.

Then meat, remember back when ranchers were slaughtering animals they couldn't sell cause Tyson and other plants shut down? Now there is a shortage of beef and pork, that will take awhile to get back to pre-covid days.

Supply and demand... but if anyone really wants to see the true cost of food, just get rid of the government subsidies for farms... it would be like $10 dollar a gallon for milk.
