I think the Republicans under-performed by like 20% of what they should have. Does not look good for them moving into the primary where its the other way around. Furthermore, this loss has caused some very damaging events to happen inside the GOP. First of all, they have decided to try get rid of Donald Trump, which is going to be painful if they can even manage.

Him alone could ruin the GOP and he is petty enough to do it if he does not win. They also started to look for scapegoats to why they did so poorly because they dont want to admit to themselves their own failures. One of my favorite scapegoats is how they narrowed in on unmarried women as a group that voted for Democrats which they drew the brain-damaged reaction of to plead with their voter base to marry women faster so that they would vote Republicans instead.

There is a hilarious video going around that they themselves put together to promote this which is basically a circle jerk of Ben Shapiro and a few others talking about women and getting married. It sounds as if they are an alien species and only having heard about women from a 3rd hand source of a porn game. It is REAAAALLY dumb.

Point is, this loss left the Republican party in a really bad situation which they honestly might not survive.

Personally I am going to enjoy watching the GOP tearing each other to pieces in the next two years. As for a party replacing the GOP? Unlikely. Even if the GOP were to "fall" it would probably be to another faction infiltrating the party and taking over it from inside rather than a completely separate party.

@Soteris the party is falling apart. Historically speaking from what I have read, the mid terms this year should have gone to the GOP. The party is inner fighting way to much.

Currently the libs are winning the moderates and the GOP will continue to lose power until the adapt to the modern world. But as of right now they’re trying to turn back the clock and plunge america into age of darkness where religion runs everyone’s lives.
