Why Is Short Height Shaming Not as Frowned Upon As Fat Shaming Is?

Because it doesn't affect women. It's literally that simple.

I'm fat and I fully support fat shaming IF short shaming is also allowed. It's either all okay or none of it is.

Two things,

from a woman's perspective, most women are short. Most women aren't 5'9, much less 6'0 tall. Many women are not attracted to short guys though. However, women do most of the shaming most of the time and usually they attack appearances. At the same time, being fat is a common insecurity for women so fat shaming is probably not something most women want to be normalized.

From a male's perspective, many guys like to date a woman shorter than them so it wouldn't make sense to mock a characteristic you're attracted to. Guys are probably not as likely to height shame another guy since height isn't something you can control and they don't really have much reason to care usually. Fat women aren't usually viewed as attractive but there's many guys who find chubbier women attractive. Many guys aren't repulsed by them either, maybe not attracted to them but not disgusted either.

It’s because fat-shaming affects women more than men, whereas short-shaming affects men more than women.

Nobody genuinely gives a shit about normal men’s problems, only men who want to be more like women, and even that’s only because they want to emasculate and weaken them rather than to benefit them.

Because most people on the receiving end of fat shaming are women, and most of those short-shamed are men. We simply don't get the empathy they do.

Because you can't control being short. But to a degree you can control being fat. No one is going to feel bad for someone who's just unwilling to put the fork down and put a little effort in.
