Would you fight? and what country are you from?

War is a means by which the old, rich, and powerful settle their disputes by spending the lives of young and poor men like currency. Think of the US invasion of Iraq. The most recent one, I mean. The country is ruled by Saddam Hussein, an inhuman monster. And so the military gears up and marches in to kill... Saddam? No. They kill Carim and Wakaz and Ali, regular, everyday guys not so different from me. Saddam gets lawyers and reporters and a Fair Trial; Faisal, forced at gunpoint by his own government to "repel the invader", gets shot down in the street and forgotten about.

Why the hell would I support that?

My ''country'' consists of my own garden and the home in it.

And I will defend it against anyone who uninvitedly and forcefully tries to enter it.

Outside, there are ''the others''. They can do what they want - but without ME :)

If war broke out IN my country, which is the United States, I might not have a choice depending what the situation was, do you mean if another country invaded or attacked?

Anyway the answer is, no I will not fight in any situation if I can avoid it, not just bc I oppose war which I do, but also bc I would suck at war. There might be ways I could help but it would not be fighting.

What is the war about?

Who started it?

I wouldn’t fight a war that was for something pointless like stealing land or resources from another country.

But I would fight in a war that was for something important like defending my home from invaders.

Yes I would fight if war broke out in the UK, my Oath to the UK Crown is still in effect against enemies foreign and domestic, and will be until I'm in the ground & cold
