Definitely gifted at least. I think most of his problems lately have come from being an intelligent person who suddenly has national fame. So his personality is a little off the rails.

But he is legitimately very intelligent. I watched a lot of his talks with engineers in the auto industry like Sandy Munro. And the thing that gets me is that he isn't "Just an executive". Like he isn't someone who just manages marketing and leaves the engineering to the engineers, he can explain in detail almost every engineering decision Tesla has made.

Another problem is that he is insatiably motivated and projects this onto his employees.

But yeah, I guess you could say he's "the real Iron Man", including the personality flaws and tendency to make enemies. But as far as his accomplishments, he does a lot of what I would want billionaires to do. Tackle issues at the scale of his net worth.

I just hope he doesn't tank Tesla stock. I'd like my investments to stay high, and for my car to retain its value. lol.

Earning money is not hard. Most people just never learn how and so they assume it takes smarts or luck when it really doesn't.

I know he is a billionaire but the same applies. Kanye is a Billionaire.
He isn't a Genius. Nobody is a genius. For if they were you would have known about this since they were a small child. Some people process information faster but that's about it.

He has almost lost it all multiple times and relied on what he said to be luck sometimes.

He is a great inspiration but only because he isn't a genius. If you're 11 foot tall and can dunk a ball who cares...

I was known as a genius in a certain community and the truth is I wasn't I was just so obsessed with what I was doing my mind wouldn't turn off even if I wanted it too.
Ideas come to you non-stop and you review the same thing over and over and over.
It's not even delightful. There are teenagers who are self-made millionaire and they aren't gifted. Everyone wants to believe this because we don't think for ourselves and it is easier to believe someone is just born better.

I don't know. I'm going to say above average, like 120 to 130 IQ, maybe. Like most highly educated rich kids end up being. Definitely not a genius, considering he wastes his time on Twitter. ... And you know, bought it. But smarter than average (not that anything below 115 isn't a legit retard, nowadays).

he's quite overated, I like him and don't think he's this rich daddiesboy that people say, but nor is he the savior of mankind the way others do. he's is smart no doubt about that, he bought tesla and made it big, he's manipulated the markets plenty of times for his own benefit legally, he belongs where he is. He is 100% there from birth, but made himself worth far more, which is respectable.
