Do you think that the USA could wage a war against Iran in the near future?

The Iranians have announced that they have produced 60% enriched uranium and are thus approaching the 90% threshold needed to make a nuclear bomb, and nuclear power is a very sensitive issue between the two nations.

Add to this the aid that Iran provides to Russia and the threats it makes against Saudi Arabia, with the US reacting to this by saying that it was ready to help defend Arabia.

Can all these elements put end to end, can it incite the USA to make a military intervention against Iran?

I’m skeptical of the Iranians ever successfully making a nuke. Not for lack of trying, but because the Americans, Israelis, and British will block and slow them and sabotage their efforts. I think Israel is much, much more worried about Iran getting a nuke than America and will actively oppose it. They would fly in jets and do bombing runs to stop them

Will America go to war with Iran, as in an actual invasion? Part of me says that I’m very doubtful, but the span of American history has shown that public sentiment for war means absolutely nothing. Politicians will send people to kill and die, because god knows they and their children won’t have to do it, and people will then turn around and call military members and generals warmongers while absolving their politicians of any responsibility whatsoever. Hell, they even vote to re-elect the bastards. 🙄

You won't like my opinion but I stand by it anyway, when the Iranians took our embassy hostage we should have bombed them into the stone age. A great philosopher once said "a critical part of a convincing bluff is, you have to have hit someone at some point." I know, it's a nonproportional response to the issue, and in reality would cause bigger problems, but why are we waiting for them to become a nuclear power, seems it would be easier to explain the facts of life before they can kill a few million of our neighbors with nukes. And by the way I hear a lot of "they have no delivery system , well I remember several years ago reading (look it up) that Iran had purchased 2 modified Russian kilo subs, although a diesel the kilo is one of , if not the most silent submarines ever, the modification was adding cruise missile launch capabilities, pretty sure you can go to that Russian department store "cruise missiles r us and pick up the missil for your plutonium

You cannot lunch a cruise missile from an old diesel submarine without modifying the thing to the point where you tear half of it apart to begin with. The Iranians are not going to do that. More importantly, the Iranians are not suicidal. If they were ever to attack Israel they would be relatively quickly completely decimated by the multiple nuclear weapons that Israel possesses courtesy of the United states. It's not going to happen.

Israel would have turned Iran into glass a long time ago, had the US not stopped them. If we ever get a real president, again, he or she should just announce to Iran that we will no longer intervene in the affairs between Iran and Israel. Let Iran know that Israel is now free to defend themselves by any means they see fit.

If the Iranians achieve a nuclear weapon and a delivery system, the US will not engage in a war with them because at least so far, even the US imperialists are not insane enough to risk that.

North Korea is a good example of a country that achieved the "Nuclear Insurance Policy" against the US and let us hope, for the sake of peace, that the Iranians can do the same.
