When Larry Elder was running as a Republican for the California governorship, a white woman with a gorilla head, threw eggs at him. As Larry points out in this video, had he been a black man with "D" after his name, instead of an "R", there'd be a nation-wide manhunt out for the woman. Didn’t they have a thing in CA years ago removing all Native American mascots? I thought differently about that, even though their side of the point was understood. I saw the strength behind why it was chosen. This mascot is a bit ridiculous. Maybe if it had an actual gorilla costume, less comical the news would have leas to report.

42 years ago, a guy was hired by a telegram company to go to the game wearing a gorilla costume. I believe it was just for publicity for the telegram company. The gorilla danced around, and the fans loved it, and wanted to have him as a mascot.
So now some woke idiot has to ruin it for everyone. Just like they did with the Dr. Seuss books that had been around for 70+ years. People need to stop bowing to the woke, and fight back.

Coca Cola told it's white employees to try and be less white. I haven't bought a coke since, and it's my favorite soda. Screw them.

I like the mascot. Most mascots don’t have anything to do with the location where the team is. Or it’s something that’s not even real. Like the TN Titans. Titans aren’t a real thing. They are a mythological creature. And look at all of the schools with lions as their mascots when lions aren’t even native to the US.
