QAnon has defended right wing MAGA extremist Matt Gaetz over sex trafficking charges, despite clear evidence that he is a pedophile. Gaetz buddy Joel Greenberg has just been sentenced to 11 years in prison for sex trafficking and other crimes.

Why are conservatives such outrageous hypocrites on this?

Conservatives have been obsessing, and pushing this lamebrain QAnon conspiracy theory that Democrats are leading some global satinist pedophile cabal for years, without ANY EVIDENCE. Turns out one of the leaders promoting the stupidity is acting out the conspiracy himself. Are conservatives talking about this? Have they learned anything? I wish that were true but that's not what we see from idiotic Trump rallies, political polls, conservative media, or voting.

QAnon conspiracies are now part of the GOP. Idiots like Marjorie Taylor Greene are leaders.

Ask yourself this, who calls out people like MTG, Matt Gaetz, or other "wacky conspiracy theorists", for their utter nonsense? Almost never conservatives.

Only a tiny fraction challenge Trumpism and the MAGA movement, the few remaining conservative public intellectuals that formed The Bulwark.

As someone who watches conservative media MTG is rarely talked about. Gaetz is often criticized for his questionable behavior (he hasn't been convicted of anything; so they don't want to say he has done anything illegal, but it doesn't look good for him). One of the programs spent over an hour mocking QAnon and their outlandish beliefs; and the others wonder who these people even are.

I can respect your point. I watch news from all outlets as much as I can. I will also add the bigger problem is they are harboring MTG and not shutting her down.

The good news is the longer they allow people like her to represent her party, because left news outlets want you to see who she is, will drive more people to vote blue. She's so crazy she is going to do more harm to the GOP than good. She will flip sane conservatives to vote blue.

MTG is just the conservative version of AOC. She isn't driving any conservatives to vote blue; just like AOC isn't driving any liberals to vote red. We know she is in artful with her speech and know that it drives liberals mad. That is the only reason people elevate her; to troll the left.

No she is not the conservative version of AOC. AOC doesn't possibly incite violence or push conspiracy theories. She just has policies people on the right don't like. That's normal politics. MTG is always talking about bringing guns to wherever and being armed and ready and spreading actually proven lies. AOC does not do that.

A significant number of MAGA Republicans believe this and have it reinforced through right wing media. It's totally absurd and dangerous.
