“D”. All the others are metaphorical in nature, but PTSD is one of the few psychological conditions where the diagnosis actually describes what it is and why it happened! I definitely suffered PTSD (and major depressive disorder) after my rape.

The first three are combat specific. PTSD has a broader (way too broad, in my opinion) application. Never mind what I think of it, it would just piss a lot of people off.

But I mean ya it sounds kinda weird saying for anything that doesn't involve guns, so maybe PTSD is more accurate? If it's not TS then guns don't even give it to u after all.

This is true… but do you think if you were in combat and experienced this they should have their own term to describe it?

I don't know, it's a more general problem, so a more general term is OK. Also, I think they used to shoot people with shell shock in WW1.

When I got PTSD, there was no name. They called it Burnout or Nervous Breakdown
