I don't think this civilization will survive its internal rot, taking into account that very few times in history a society degraded itself to the levels we see these days. Every standard of living is falling.
I'm in no way worried about it, though. History is just following its course as it has cycles of prosperity and disgrace.
The only thing new here is that concepts like "liberalism" and "democracy" will be remembered by the future generations just like the "Asian model of production" of 4000 years ago does. I mean, no one will give a rat ass about these values which our generation is supposed to believe that has miraculous powers that could end hunger and cure cancer. 😆

People throughout the world get their freak on The difference is we f****** know better That's the damn difference.
The West is certainly headed in that direction but it may be that future event will reverse the course.
I appreciate your enthusiasm there needs to be more like it. I think that's the last hope anyway. I sound like a character from Star wars.
@Cuminginside I certainly hope future events will reverse the direction. However, I suspect that, unless their is a revolution, more likely the USA will continue their downward path by become more authoritarian..
It certainly appear so. I see the way companies treat people they dismiss employees and then claim their decision is final.
pretty much.
