Is it normal to only talk once a day?

I started dating this guy recently and he moved 2 hours away. We used to work together, so I would run into him throughout the day. Now he calls me once at night and might send a text here or there during the day while at work. He has a very busy new job, but is it normal that he doesn't really say good morning/night and always has to go at work? I'm always sad, since I miss him, and I feel like he's not paying enough attention to me. Is this normal of a relationship? Am I being greedy of his time? Or should I find someone who gives me more attention. When we see each other on the weekends, it's very obvious how much he feels for me, I just wonder if he thinks of me just as a weekend girlfriend and doesn't want to put the effort in during the week? Please help, so bummed!

I think talking once a day is too much! Even in a serious relationship. Give the guy some space!

I really don't understand why girls seem to measure how much you love them by the number of phone calls you make. Its hard to make a liviing out there these days. People have to work and rush around. I usually have maybe 2 hours of free time a day. The last thing I want to do is spend it talking on the phone. If us guys could get away with a 5 minute "Hi how you doin?" then it would be OK, but women tend to talk on the phone for hours about nothing in perticular. The more you talk, the more you talk about nothing in particular, because not enough time has passed for anything eventful to happen!

Ok makes perfect sense. You sound like you have a similar lifestyle to my boyfriend so thanks for sharing. Maybe you guys aren't interested in what we have to say, but that goes both ways ya know ;)

Maybe I'm abnormal too, but I only communicate 3-4 days a week with my guy. Sometimes I wish it was more often, but we're both really busy and I'm very happy when we get to see each other once every week or so! I'd say it's OK, but just communicate.

Ok - I guess I'm just used to always being in contact and seeing my bf's. Once you live with a guy it's weird to have relationships that are more casual like that for me. I'm glad you think it's normal, makes me feel better!

I think you need to give him so time to settle into this new job. he probably hasn't gotten into the grove of things yet. give him some time until he's comfortable there

Good point, maybe it's his new job that's distracting him. I want to show that I'm supportive, but don't want to crowd him so I'm confused

He is busy it's not that he does not love you, it's just with work and him spending time with his mates; calling once a day seems reasonable enough.
