Not really... The Republicans only hold a house majority with a couple seats, and it's pretty much entirely because of only 20 of them that basic, common sense changes are happening at all - most of which are actually just a reversion to pre-Pelosi standards rather than anything new. The Republicans also have 8 (arguably double) RINOs in the Senate who frequently support or sell out to the Democratic establishment, including the two clowns who basically control the party purse (McConnell and Cornyn) and can therefore threaten most of the less prominent senators into submission. All it would take for the left to keep ramming BS through are a couple Republican congressmen voting present or not showing up.

The Left depends on what country. If the US, the right wing seems to be getting more extreme and intolerant (though over tolerant of crimes of their leaders); the Left lacks the PR skills to an extent.

There isn't a really truly left wing party with power in the US, more of a right wing and very right wing with the latter backed by extremists and opposed to rights of women and LGBT.
