I don't know why so many people seem to struggle with this idea, and Joe Biden is the last person in a moral position to request clemency on these grounds, but you don't throw people out of office or in jail just because someone said they did something. You collect the evidence and bring them to trial- formally prosecuting them in accordance with the rule of law. In much the same way that Trump wasn't burned at the stake because he was called a bigot, Biden won't be thrown out of office because he's been accused of... whatever it is he's being accused of now.

In truth, he probably won't face any real consequences for his actions; like Hilary Clinton with her security-clearance violating use of her own email server during her time as secretary of state and judicial-order violating obstruction of justice in deleting thousands of emails, he won't be prosecuted because... reasons.

But innocent until proven guilty applies to EVERYONE, even the people who made "guilty even after proven innocent" the cornerstone of their governmental policy.

The issue isn't his having classified documents. It's who else but him might have seen them and why they were not better secured against loss. But knowing the US press, it is probably a nothing burger story.

The documents found were documents he took from the Obama/Biden administration. He was Vice President and could not declassify or take any documents. Only the POTUS can declassify documents and he was not POTUS then.

No, I do not. I watched the news where someone mentioned that documents in the Whitehouse have been commonly found in areas of it--especially in the library. The documents found were from the Obama era--and they might have been left there from the previous president. He is cooperating to the best of his ability--and that is what counts. That is the behavior of a cooperating president who has nothing to hide. Also, the documents were found IN the Whitehouse--not some home.
