I see Americans travel to places like Vietnam or Nigeria where the people are usually friendly, and they always take advantage of it to feel superior. It's extremely fucked up and they treat them like "background people".

Because Americans tend to be slack jawed hicks with no culture or refined upbringing.

There are people living in Vietnamese and Nigerian slums who have better manners than most Americans abroad.

Think of Americans as coal : good to use and sell, but up close and personal for too long, and you'll be as dirty as them.
