That is the key question of our day, the "these are the times that try men's souls". Solve that and you solve a lot of problems.

1st: next time the system collapses, don't bail out those who failed. Take the depression to clean out the system. Your graph represents the bailouts of 2000 and 2008 primarily and the printed $ that went into the hands of the wealthy that know how to game the system.

2nd: Fix education system. Simple change, schools have power and responsibility to educate kids to get them to productive citizens, in conjunction with disiciplining and guiding parents. That means they have ability to discipline and power in classroom again.

3rd: deploy robots for some jobs so that everyone has some basic income. Everyone owns a piece of the robot output.

4th: limit the foreign wars and global domination. End the war in ukraine so we s

5th: debt. ugh, what to do about the debt overhang? were screwed... other than inflation or default, those are the options take your pick.

6th: build schools for empathetic people to create those who will care for those whom are down: we need a mountain of therapists, caregivers, re-trainers to find suitable jobs for people, build their skills and deploy them. but you have to deal with the trauma. Going to need "retraining software" to automate the processes of healing people.

7th: all people work and produce something. re-invigorate churches to care for those whom are down in terms of quality food,

8th: discipline: all people recycle trash and do not litter.

blah blah... most of it will never happen. I'll have to rethink all that. Maybe we just have a "debt jubilleee", wipe out all the debt and start over...

How about we go into the hedge funds, Vanguard and just divide up all the $ equally to all citizens. there ya go... start over...

that's going to be very difficult... I hate to say it, those who don't make it through these lousy schools on top, will be wards of the state and the other workers. So we have to put the fight in the education system. I see junk schools, it's got to be priority #1.

agree, we need disciplined, well trained people that have skills in areas that pay enough to live a decent middle class life or more. the rest can be immigrated for lower end jobs, often those people thrive in freedom and become wealthy in a generation.

They are deprived of basic needs and accessibility to begin with. Something as basic as getting access to food or transportation can be a barrier and making things affordable for them to have some level of quality of life.
