This time I hear drum beats of "snatch and grab lands of the past."

Whether Russia land grabs of the Soviet Union or Finland and/or China and Taiwan and/or Thailand (Siam). I do not see a full out war although America and Russia have been at global guerilla warfare since 1980s (Balklands, Middle East-Syria etc)... maybe before the 1980s?
