I should add for clarification I have never been arrested or incarcerated I have however had cause to visit prisons and my impression of the staff ranks barely above the inmates

Many are awesome, but there are some bad apples that just do it because they have no power in the real world. I worked with one that was his wife's bitch at home, so when he got to work, all the female prisoners had to pay the price for him being a pussy.

I used to be one. I can say that some are respectable, some are not. Some are dirty, some are there to prove something, some are just regular people trying to do a job.

I know there is good like in any profession or group of people but I find them particularly dislikeable and no I've never been a inmate myself

I have authority issues so while I do. I wouldn't if I had to deal with them. Much like how I respect a teacher until they start telling me what to do.
