Does anyone else feel bad for Alex Murdaugh?

I think he is innocent. Imagine being convicted of horrible crime like this you didn’t actually do. What do you think about Alex Murdaugh?

I absolutely do not. This is a man who has it all and it still wasn’t enough. He did drugs, embezzled money and killed his wife and son… why there hell would I feel sorry for him? I feel sorry for the boy Murdered (and his family) who was linked to the Murdough family, the 19 year old girl (and her friends and family) who was killed in the boating accident by a drunk Paul Murdough and while she was still missing all Alex Murdough could do was try to get the others on the boat to lie about who was driving and I feel sorry for the Murdough’s housekeeper (and her family) who died suspiciously on the Murdough property (and Alex Murdough filed an insurance claim that was supposed to go to the housekeeper’s family but it didn’t)

So NO, he was found guilty because he was/is guilty.

a lot of times it’s the people who have a lot of money or power that are the most dangerous because they think they’re above the law or can buy their problems away with their power or money

You should watch the documentary on Netflix about the Murdough murders and hear from people that were there or personally knew the family and maybe you wouldn’t feel so bad for him

The man was not a saint, but that doesn’t make him a cold, blooded murder. There was no actual physical evidence to connect him. I can give you another story. Maybe the people who cared about the ones killed in a boating accident murdered his family and framed him for it.

So then how do you explain Paul’s cell phone where you can hear Alex in the background right before the murders even though he claimed he wasn’t there? Do I think an innocent person can be found guilty of a crime they didn’t commit, absolutely ( Like Steven Avery who was convicted of a rape he didn’t commit served18 years before released and now serving life in prison for a murder a lot of people aren’t convinced he committed) but do I believe Alex Murdaugh is one of those people, no. Again this was a man that was used to being away with anything because of who he was who his family was..

I think he is guilty of committing crimes he already confessed to but not guilty for killing his son and wife. Where were the guns? Never found so it's all circumstantial and no empirical evidence.
I feel bad for anyone being locked in a cage for the rest of their lives especially when they are only 54 years old. He will go insane no doubt.

I wasn't on the jury so don't know if he is innocent or not. But convictions are not easy to get. That's why they set it up the way it is - it only takes one of twelve to say they don't buy it and a not guilty verdict is unavoidable.

WHAT evidence do you have to say he is NOT guilty of murdering his own son and wife. He is also accused of embezzling millions so it's hardly as if he's an innocent lamb.

I don't know enough about the case to have an opinion. I know the jury had a lot of evidence put in front of it though, and the judge seems to feel pretty strongly that he did it.

This is why there's an appeals process. It's possible he's innocent of murder, but he's not INNOCENT. His phone being at the scene of the murder is pretty damming.

Also the fact that the juror that was dismissed would have most likely resulted in a hung jury is something his defense team will probably spotlight in the appeals process.
