Does anyone feel a bit sorry for Will Smith?

I would like to say that in no way do I condone his violence at the Oscars.

I'm referring to his "relationship" and "marriage" with Jada.

She seems incredibly toxic - as does he - and, for lack of a better word, Will is cucked. She has him wrapped around her little finger.

Their whole dynamic is something each and every one of us should be aiming to avoid in our own relationships.

That said, I do feel a bit sorry for him. He clearly isn't himself and is under a lot of stress.

I don't feel sorry for Jada in the slightest, though.

Well first I think it's absolutely ridiculous the attention this is getting! But only because he's a celeb. Would anyone give a rat's ass if two regular guys did this? Nope, it would be forgotten immediately, but not here (rolling eyes). But I'm not saying what he did was "right", but I don't blame him at all for doing it. If anything, I think Chris was more in the "wrong" as he should have cleared his material he planned on using with Will before hand. It's not a roast. For him to "get away" with doing that is "wrong" in my opinion (Chris using that material I'm referring to). If Will hadn't done anything, nobody would have would they? Being a comedian doesn't mean he can get away with murder and no "excuse" (even though that's what everyone would say). The academy has probably done Will a FAVOR! If I were him, I wouldn't WANT to be associated with them anyway.

He’s a millionaire. He has the power to get any woman he wants. He chose a terrible woman to be with, and she let him know from the beginning who she was. Maybe he liked that from her. No I don’t feel bad for him. Jada didn’t force him to do anything. He knew the world (or at least the few who actually watched the oscars) was watching. He should have had self control. He shouldn’t have ever been in an open relationship. He can still leave jada. He should have apologized on TV to Chris Rock. Chris Rock isn’t funny. Chris Rock is just short with a raspy voice, which is the joke. The funny thing is, people will start watching the oscars more because of this. In that way, Hollywood is probably happy for the views, negative or positive. That’s probably why they protected him. Will is also into some weird celebrity scientology/masonry crap, and those people stick together.

not really. i agree that he's been through a lot in his life but that doesn't give him the right to put violence on others. i know he's standing up for his wife (although she's a cheater) but there are better ways to deliver that the joke was offensive.

Of course I do. Even though what he did was wrong, his wife is terrible for him and it's clear the man needs help. Open marriage says a lot and with her being the way she is, that man is gonna be hurt for a while. That's what happens when you choose the toxic woman rather than leaving her for the streets
