Why do so called "pro lifers" want you to understand why they are against abortion but they don't want to consider why a person is pro choice?

they always come up with all sorts of reasons why you should at least understand their opposition to abortion and I do but the moment I ask the same respect in return in my support for being pro-choice, they refuse and say I support murder without even hearing me out on my stance of being pro-choice. Also yes I am a man who supports pro-choice and no I will not be taking off the anonymous cloak to have you try and get me doxed for opposing religious fascism.

First off, nobody is going to get doxed for being "pro-choice." We all know that the only people who are punished in this way are conservatives.

Anyway, it is hard for most people on both sides to understand why someone on the other could arrive at their policy stance in good faith. Especially on the abortion issue, each side holds an extreme example and applies it as the norm to justify their preference for (not killing a human baby vs. a woman's autonomy). For example: pro-choice people usually think women just innocently catch pregnancy, or the case of a "13yo who was raped by her uncle, then gets pregnant." Pro-life people think of a baby who is a few weeks from delivery, fully healthy, and the woman just decides that she doesn't want it so the doctors chop it into pieces and suck its brains out.

As you can imagine it's hard for either side to empathize with the other side when they hold this example in their minds. Furthermore, people have their preferences based on "first principles," which are essentially values placed on a priority scale. If someone has "innocent human life" ranked high on their first principles, what they just feel to be right, they'll likely be pro-life. If someone believes in individual autonomy, especially for women, they'll balk at any constraint to this.

For exactly the same reason why so called "pro choicers" want you to understand why they are against protecting the lives of unborn children but they don't want to consider why a person is pro life?

I’m going to try and answer this question as neutral as possible to not bash either side. My answer would probably be that when someone believes something they will always try to convince you it’s the right way because in their mind it is the right and only way. Now I’m not saying either side is right or wrong they both have valid points it’s just that people tend to enter conversations being bias. Which is not necessarily a bad thing it’s just that sometimes they are not open to having there opinion changed. Humans in general don’t like to be wrong about things.

Because, they're not pro-life but anti-abortion. They don't care about others, just that they can control them.
