My unpopular opinion is that we all have a role to play, such as that gender roles were created for a reason.
I think that the meaning of life is for us to thrive as a species, which means that women are meant to give birth whether they really want to, or not. Of course, there's valid reasons for not having kids these days, such as it being rather expensive. But it's a numbers game and the more children being born, the more likely one of those kids will grow to cure cancer or invent a method to quickly traveling to other planets.
And so, if you choose not to have children, then you are not nearly as important as those who have fulfilled their role of procreating and contributing to the future of humanity.

My unpopular opinion is that people wrap things up in conversation far too often to be perceived as they wished to be perceived. That eugenics is not inherently wrong, and is only seen as a hateful and racist practice due to it's association with Nazi Germany. But as a species we have done it for thousands of years to hundreds of other species we have domesticated so successfully that we have managed to build of 8 billion people. And that if we used the same practice on ourselves, focusing on aspects that actually matter we could eliminate all genetic disease and push ourselves into maximizing our potential.

Maybe you knew this, but you're in good company. Eugenics has historically been a progressive force in many circles. Many suffragettes were eugenicists and the guy that invented universal healthcare in my country (Canada) was a strong supporter of it.
@Derekk It does have a lot of very practical applications. Just look at what the difference between cattle and the now extinct Aurochs and that’s just a few hundred years. But if we put efforts into improving the human genome by breeding traits like intelligence, empathy, and physical endurance imagen what we could become in a few hundred, or a few thousand years. Reminds me of a quote from Bioshock “Utopia cannot precede the utopian. It will exist the moment we are fit to occupy it.” But it would absolutely have its critics, in all likelihood any attempts to actually require a eugenics method of reproduction in society would lead to bloodshed. @msc545 The last poll that i saw had Trump at 56% in the Republicsn primary and DeSantis was 27%. In a head to head election with Biden he was ahead by 5 points. @Heterosketero Honestly I believe in the power of labeling theory. While sociologists point to people living down to low standards, I believe people can also live up to extremely high standards. To answer your question, I believe there should be an emperor (inherited via heredity), surrounded by advisors, and local leaders who earn their position via national exams (the smartest people get it). To dissuade corruption the leaders have their names up for a vote each year, where the loser will be banished from the country for life (from an Ancient Athenian practice). The monarchy/ emperorship will keep things steady, and the advisors will ensure to translate strategy into policy.

That is not unpopular, I work with many Fillipinos.
