Is Conservative Christianity the new narcissism?

Disclaimer: I'm a Christian. Don't mean to offend, discriminate, or generalize.

I notice that people in my family, especially on my mom's side, are no longer Democrats or liberals at all. I also hear them outright deny that they are Republicans, conservatives, or right-wing. Yet, every single little thing they share to their story is some "anti-woke" and "anti-vax" BS that I cringe over. I'm literally the black sheep in the family (my halfbrother is not old enough to vote).

The irony is that my mom is twice-vaxxed just like me, and "unboosted" just like me... I don't care that she is conservative (she says she is "centrist", but she really doesn't contribute on social media like one). My stepdad definitely parents like a devout and more than a Reagan Republican.

To be fair, I'm talking more about the correlation between people who deny to be narcissists and Christian people who deny to be conservatives (despite sharing 90-99% conservative beliefs).

It's really tribalism. They feel excluded from and denigrated by mainstream American culture so they have retreated into a fantasy world where East Podunk is the "Real America". If there is a "Real America", it's New York and Los Angeles and Chicago and Houston and the other major metropolitan areas where most Americans live.

That's where the word "metrosexual" kicks in. Any non-white person that is a father and single (and not taking care of the mother's kids) is considered a "thug" or a "deadbeat" to the Reaganist Fox News champions, ESPECIALLY Tucker Carlson.

They are right to question vaccinations espicially the covid 19 vaccinations that made companies like Pfizer wealthy. You shouldn't just blindly accept what the government tells you. My uncle came back from the Gulf War with Gulf War syndrome the government tried to tell us all it wasn't really an issue. In 2003 they told us Iraq had wmds. In 2008 the government bailed out with taxpayer money the banks and no one went to jail, the bankers were rewarded for the incompetence while taxpayer lost their homes and jobs.

It is right to reject some of this woke bullshit such as rewriting classical literature.

Question what the government tells you.
