Why on Earth would you want to ban it? Potential pollutant waste leaks? Yes, it's true that's a danger, but are you REALLY happier with coal, oil, and natural gas power, where the toxic waste is stored safely in your lungs?

No, if used properly and not left to 'commercial' control it would be better than the current 'renewable' sources, as there is already a existent reprocessing capability, the same cannot be said for wind turbine blades, solar PV glass etc, those are going to land fill at the moment.

FUCK NO, we need to greatly expand nuclear power, but do it with non U235 reactors. There are fantastic designs, super safe that use Sodium.
