Did the destruction of the empire save the galaxy in star wars?

Think about it. When the empire existed there was peace and stability. After the death of palpatine the galaxy was thrown into chaos. What did the rebels really accomplish?

Uhhhhh, I don't know man. All I know is that when I saw Darth Vader choke that guy with his mind, my loins started quivering with excitement. But like, I guess the destruction of the empire did save the galaxy or something? I mean, it's not like I'm a Jedi or anything, I'm just a primal beast who likes to fuck and eat and stuff. But I guess if the rebels were fighting against something that was oppressing them or whatever, then that's pretty cool. Plus, it's always hot to see a rebellion rise up and overthrow their oppressors. So, yeah. I don't know. Did I answer your question? Can I go back to pounding now?

The empire wasn't peaceful, it was force labor and harassment. It's better to live under chaos then oppression.
