As long as Democrats focus on the rest of the world first and ignore people in the US, then its best days are behind us.
Putting your own country first, security its borders and ensure people here have good decent paying jobs, is the way to keep good days and the people happy.
Nothing is riskier and more dangerous than having people out of work, with nothing to lose.
As some point all this free trade BS with countries that use slave child labor means people in the US won't be able to buy anything and by that point, the US won't be a economic super power and we are already heading that direction.
A good example is I know a guy who was job hunting and he asked for a starting pay of 60k a year, what his old job offered... and at dozens of interviews at different companies they ALL said that was a excessively high starting wage.
Yet considering cost of living, rent or mortgage alone... you'd need at least 50k a year to pay rent or mortgage, the other 10k is simply to buy food and other bills.
How is that excessive too high?
Biden and Democrats have made it worse, with inflation.
Except income.
@Aerissa_Jade You're absolutely right that Biden and the Democrats have made it worse with this extreme inflation. I've been poor my entire life. I've always had little to nothing. But at least I had something. At least I got to pay $30 to go camping once a year. At least I got to pay $4 to eat out at McDonald's once a month. Now I have nothing at all. NOTHING. You talk about people having nothing to lose? Well, you're 100% correct about that. I could go to jail and have a much higher standard of living than I do right now. And I know there are plenty of drug dealers out there who live a better lifestyle than I do. ... Now, I would never be a drug dealer. Because I still have my morals. ... But people do crack, you know.
@exitseven And by the way, if you're wondering why I want to even have a girlfriend when I'm broke... Well, why not? At least I'd have love. At least I'd have someone to kiss and hold hands with and go on walks with and watch sunsets together. See, if you have love, money doesn't matter anyway. Most of the people who chase money are the ones who have never found love.
@Jamie05rhs "Money is widely known as one of the leading causes of divorce in America. It’s estimated that financial problems contribute to 20-40% of all divorces."
www.thejimenezlawfirm.com/.../
😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
@D_Bone_Steak I'm sure that's correct. But how is it related to anything here?
@Jamie05rhs "And by the way, if you're wondering why I want to even have a girlfriend when I'm broke... Well, why not?" At least I'd have love."
I was just poking some fun at it is all... just to give myself a chuckle.
@D_Bone_Steak Oh. Okay.
Well, responding to your comment seriously: If she knows I'm broke when I meet her, then I don't think we're going to break up because of that. Because if it's an issue, then she wouldn't have gone out with me in the first place.
But obviously if I want to marry her then I'm going to get more money first. (I don't believe in supporting freeloaders, but I do want us to have a somewhat normal life and not be constantly on the verge of homelessness.)
@Jamie05rhs It's the way I played the game and it worked. In my mind, it's obvious that if you attract a woman with money, she probably just wants money. I sit on a bunch of money but I don't advertise it and in fact pretend to be broke. Keeps the friends and family that just want to borrow $300 away if you know what I mean. I just hit the gym to attract chicks. Got a wife and I haven't worked in almost 20 years now. I'm 40 now so just do the math on when I quit the grind.
Those chicks that want money also want fancy weddings, vacations, meals, shopping... I'm not interested in any of that, so I'm better off for not attracting those types to begin with.
In short, it's a solid strategy. Even if you do come up on money, don't advertise it is my advice. Pretend to be broke even when you're not.
@D_Bone_Steak Oh, I understand that completely! Believe me. :)
As long as we adhere to constitutional democracy, we can keep ourselves on solid ground. But there is a while lotta shit going on with autocracies and demogogues worldwide that is disturbing...
Hell yeah... it's not just us... some changes are basically exactly the same with different methods being used.
It's not a conspiracy... Makes me want to look up alcohol prohibition and when it was done, and in what countries again... just for the people that blow it off as some conspiracy.
From a simple onlookers perspective...
Until there is a happy medium between the political parties (which does not look like anytime soon) the rest of the world will likely watch the deconstruction/collapse of an empire.
If American's can unite and find commonality they may have a chance, but there is too much disparity between the different parties/classes/cultures which then extends to economic disparity.
It also seems that, when Americans aren't at war with another country, they are somewhat at war with each other.
It looks that way, which is unfortunate, because the whole economy will suffer.
No question. They are behind us. The real bad times kicked into high gear after the 911 coup d'etat and have only gotten worse.
Liberty, freedom and prosperity are rapidly disappearing.
Our leaders are taking us to the New World Order/Great Reset/One world government dictatorship that will be ruled by unelected globalist technocratic eugenicists who intend to control every resource on the planet, including humans.
They’re trying, but this Tower of Babel will be unfinished. Our leaders will not run the world. Far from controlling every resource on the planet, they will control only those resources in the US and Western Europe. Most of the world is acting simultaneously to create a multipolar world order with commodity-backed currencies. Give this ten years. To the extent our elites speak overseas, they are barking in the wind. Perhaps they will lose their grip on power. If not, they will turn their attention inward as they lose global power and try to make us “own nothing and be happy,” and eat the fake bug-based meat to “save the planet,” etc., etc. That could last 80 years but, given the Soviet-like nature of it, it will fail someday.
Western religion and Western progressives, who are nothing more or less than heretical Calvinists without God, have a linear view of history. As such, they cannot sense the organic cycle of culture. The fundamentalist Christians obsess over the imminent return of Christ. The progressive neoliberal elites obsess over the “end of history” and eternal American hegemony. These are flip-sides of the same coin. They both sense an end and an end is near indeed, but not the eschatons that they have in mind. Rather, it is the end of Western culture, the exhaustion of its spiritual and cultural potentiality (notice the endless sequels of superhero movies and retreaded plot lines?), and-given the extinction-level fertility of European peoples-it will potentially be the end of Westerners as well.
@RealMarek. I think you are right on the money. Sucks for America, though. I refer to the experiment in democracy, the principles set out in the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights, and the American people.

I just think the best days of humanity are behind us, sadly.
% America is still a world leader in many aspects. It's definitely losing it but there'll be bad times and maybe the bad times will be worse than before but there will be good times too.
But social mobility is mostly over so if you're poor today chances are you'll be poor tomorrow as well. If you're rich today you could still be poor tomorrow if you made bad choices.
Best days ahead? Like everything in America it's a land of the 1% and yup the best days are still there for them. The rest? Please get back to work so the 1% gets to reap the benefits.
Nope, this won't change regardless of who gets into the Whitehouse.
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.

As long as we continue to Hold These Truths to be Self Evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable right. That among these rights are Life, Liberty, and the Persuit of Happiness, we'll be alright.
And as long as we start seriously exploring space. Manifest Destiny is still alive and kicking which is why we keep getting involved in other countries internal workings.
We need to refocus that energy into space. There's no more frontier to tame on Earth but there's plenty in space. It would combine Americans' love of technology and our need to expand and tame the Frontier into a single program. There's enough fuel and materials in space to last 100,000 years.
So I think our best days are ahead of us.
Until Trump Gets back into Office, Dark and Dank. xxoo
We are about to face an economic and cultural reboot. One way or the other, there will be some sort of civil war. There will be a culling of the mostly Leftist herd. After we bury the dead, things will improve.
It will at least begin as a "guerilla war". Patriots will look to silence enemy "cheerleaders". There will be names you recognize. Once they (perhaps several hundred) are neutralized, Leftist sympathizers will wander around looking for something new to believe in. The exhilaration of "the cause" will end when nobody's shouting it over the media, Hollywood and in schools. Dead men tell no tales.
I really be wondering what these great American days were?
Because i promise you these days weren't as great as everyone thinks they were, they were just told the good parts of it, or choose to ignore the bad parts of those so called "great days"
Live in the present. We are only here for a short time.
America is a great country. It still is…but we must not live in the past.
We have been falling behind for over 30 years. because we think we are the best.
we have to learn to grow and change and work together for the better…the world is very very big yet very small.
If we don’t work together… more will suffer.
You can't really pinpoint when exactly a country's best days actually were until after the fact, and even then I think there'd be some pretty significant debate in regards to the USA.
In my opinion, the US's overall best days are behind it if it doesn't make a significant and lasting course-correction, because right now, it is bent on self-destruction.
When exactly WERE America's best days? Was it during the Indian genocidal period, the slavery period, the post slavery lynching Jim Crow period, the Cold War period, or the current fascist movement?
Your support of Trump, one of humanities most disgusting people, is just proof that you remain a troll for Russia, or a stupid person, or both.
@loveslongnails. The post WW2 years were a period when America thrived. The interstate highway system was built and the American culture was the envy of the world. Americans built nuclear power plants, sent men to the moon and back, built sky scrapers and nuclear submarines. And the list goes on. Technology, medicine and culture were all centered in America. I think it came to a stop after 9/11.
The list goes on - like what? You sound like a child - " oooh, skyscrapers and missions to the moon". Nice to explore space while you still, but there was still much poverty down here. There was segregation till Brown vs Bd of Ed in 1954, but that didn't stop the lynchings. Even the black soldiers who fought for the US in WWII were treated like shit when they returned.
The 50's-60's were a great time for the magnates who controlled oil, energy, newspapers, transportation and manufacturing. They got rich while unions had to fight to get workers a fair wage, yet they too became corrupted along with all that had been corrupted. Fact is America had all the potential for hundreds of years and fucked it up. Dummies and trolls like yourself want to keep it that way by supporting the maga cult and the radical neo-fascist fake Christian right wing.
"The country is not perfect" - This country is becoming more fascist every day.
" but there is not a single communist country I would rather live in." - Idiot deflection and irrelevant. Who ever said in this whole thread they'd rather live in a communist country? No one. We're headed somewhere just as bad.
Millions come here from 3rd world countries because it's obviously better than their own, and as soon as they arrive, they learn what it's like to be hated by privileged white people who won't even do the work these immigrants will do, and that's if they can get in.
LMAO "Protesters" - oh, you're referring to the armed idiots who stormed the Capitol, raided the halls of Congress, forced legislators to flee for their safety, ransacked offices, attacked Capitol security, put up a gallows with a noose and chanted "Hang Pence" - THOSE protestors? Every one of them who got arrested was charged with a crime and given due process. Why do you just makes shit up?
The candidate you speak of has only just begun to be indicted on a whole host of real charges. You troll. Fascism is already here in every red state, you Russian commie fuck. That's why Putin loves Trump - he's his puppet, and you're his troll.
See, this is why you're an idiot. "Nobody was armed except the cops". Guns aren't the only way to arm yourself. Knives, batons, flagpoles, battering rams, are all consider arms.
As to one fatality - are you capable of admitting you don't know your facts, and didn't bother to look any up? I don't think you are:
Fatalities:
Ashli Babbitt, an Air Force veteran, was fatally shot by a Capitol Police officer as rioters tried to breach the House chamber.
Kevin D. Greeson died of a heart attack, collapsing on the sidewalk west of the Capitol on Jan. 6.
Benjamin Philips, the founder of a pro-Trump website called Trumparoo, died of a stroke.
e chamber.
Kevin D. Greeson died of a heart attack, collapsing on the sidewalk west of the Capitol on Jan. 6.
Rosanne Boyland appeared to have been crushed in a stampede of fellow rioters as they surged against the police. It was later found she had overdosed on drugs.
And here too is why you are so infuriatingly stupid for spewing misinformation. These deaths were directly related to the riot:
In the days and weeks after the riot, five police officers who had served at the Capitol on Jan. 6 died.
Officer Brian D. Sicknick of the Capitol Police, who was attacked by the mob, died on Jan. 7.
There were also two suicides.
Officer Jeffrey Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department killed himself after the attack.
Officer Howard S. Liebengood of the Capitol Police also died by suicide four days afterward.
But still, you spew and misinform and lie with no compunction.
You really ARE an idiot. The truth is in the videos. My God, every time I think you've reached the apex of stupid, you outdo yourself - again ! WATCH the videos, fool.
Even with all our flaws, the United States is still the best country on the planet for individual freedoms and the personal pursuit of success. Soon there will be a market correction that will steer us away from current cancerous borderline socialism that's currently bleeding through the government and society.
I'm not American, but I'd say, in my own simple person's honest opinion, behind us. But anyways, I for one like Chinese brands as much as the 2000s when everyone wanted Japanese brands. It's a weird world out there and whatever 🙂🙂🙂
Behind. The Blessing of God will be removed as more and more people rebel against God and follow lifestyles of abortion and lgbtq nonsense and atheism, etc.
I agree with you. Just wait until the Tribulation starts. 3 1/2 years of hell on Earth. You wouldn't want to be around for sure.
@Daniela1982 In th egiving of the Ten Commandments, God says he has mercy on thousands of generations who Love him, but visits the sins on the third and fourth generation of those who HATE him. The United States now bans the Ten Commandments because the people HATE God.
So let us count the generations since the Usa started Hating God. That's easy, start with the Roe vs Wade ruling and go forward. That's 4 generations, which means God is about to destroy the USA.
Behind. Same as entire world. 80s 90s even early 2000s had good days. But now the world is 🔥 and not in an "everything is fine" way.
But I'm grateful everyday for today's modern technology, 2020s tech and pop is so much cooler to me now, and I'm saying that as someone resistant previously to smart phones and smart stuff 😎😊
I've grown to adapt and embrace the new, hooray me or hooray to us, all 🤪
Yes... the best days are long gone, same as for us Canadians.. all we can do now is watch it burn and enjoy ourselves...
If we can get 4 years of don followed immediately by 8 more of Ron, our best years are ahead of us! If shithead hadn't stolen the last election by cheating, THESE would be our best days!!
The best days of America was when it was a British Crown colony,
It's been down hill since.
would be very hard for the next president to fuck it up even more than Biden did. i mean i'm not from the USA but i think even with another term of Trump, you'd be way better off.
The best days ended in 1920 when women were allowed to vote
All i have is some serious negative opinions... So pass
The empire is collapsing, the best days are going... going... go--
It is over. Dollar will soon collapse. US will be a one party Socialistic country. The Constitution will be abolished. Americans will have no rights in a neo liberal communist state.
Sounds plausible.
Behind. Biden is hell bent on getting us into a war with Russia.
Unless we get Trump or DeSantis In office it will be nothing but dark days
I think it's time for DeSantis. We can't keep electing 80 year olds.
I believe it's up to the individual to keep the US great by clockin dollars. Be the best you and take care of what you have. Fuck the haters and be independent!
The best was in 2018, it's all been downhill since and it will only continue going downhill
Behind us. The left has done its best to destroy America and the right is too cowardly to stand up to them.
I sincerely hope there best days are behind them, that is if they had any to begin with
Disappearing in the rear view. Not just US. The sun sets on the western world.
The US has never had any good days since before it's inception.
If we can get past the wannabe totalitarians on both sides, ahead.
They are behind us. We've been spiraling downhill for years. I don't think it will get better
Behind. Biden and Obama has done irreparable damage
Behind us. It's over. We're toast.
@exitseven No. The great experiment of American democracy was not a failure. It didn't fail. It was deliberately and maliciously destroyed.
@Jamie05rhs Yeah, it sure looks like it.
Tu quoque, Brute, fili mi.
After covid, the only direction is up
The best days ended decades ago.
