When the USA weaponized the dollar by stealing $300 billion of Russia's money the world took notice that the USA cannot be trusted. Therefore, countries are starting to reduce their dollar holdings and trade in other currencies. According to the Federal Reserve and U. S. Department of the Treasury, foreign countries held a total of 7.07 trillion U. S. dollars. Inflation occurs when that money is returned to the USA. Other factors include:

Saudi Arabia will consider trading in currencies other than the US dollar. BRICS Countries keen on having common currency to replace US dollar. Brazil and China have agreed to bypass the US dollar when paying for trade goods.

However, most international trading is in US dollars. Also, there are a number of things the US can do to maintain the value of the US dollar. They include: Raise interest rates to double digits. Cut the military by 50%. Reduce social security payment by 10% and raise the retirement age to 70. And, double or triple the premiums for Medicare.
