President Biden has announced that he is running for re-election. Unable to make a live speech he announced it with a video showcasing some of his accomplishments like hiring a Supreme Court Justice who could not tell you what a woman was. His campaign slogan will be "Lets Finish The Job". Usually politicians have a photo of them with their families, I did not see Hunter anywhere near this video. Lets hope that Joe does not have the opportunity to "finish the job."
I am starting to doubt the whole "democracy" concept. Could we really be facing an election between an 80 year old man, and a buffoon like Trump? Are we supposed to believe they are the best America has to offer?
Biden isn't bad IMHO but he is too old. Its not at all unusual for people in their 80s to have both mental and physical issues develop and only a very small fraction of people in their 80s are still employed. A president who develops dementia if terrifying - especially since politics will make it very difficult to remove him.
Trump? He is simply a horrible evil person. And will also be 80 by the end of a next term.

He cut taxes stupid which made employers expand their business which employed more people which is why he had the lowest unemployment rate of all time. The increased employment also increased tax revenue for all to enjoy. Biden claims jobs added but the fact is it’s not back to pre pandemic levels under Trump and won’t ever be because Biden wants you tied to the government rather than be independent
@Pterodon Cutting taxes is easy, the question is whether that was matched with cuts in govt expenses.
My main objection to Trump is that rather than accept defeat, he tried to get the election results changed in multiple ways. Its very dangerous to shake voter confidence in the election system - its a path to civil war.

@FunkyMonkee Trump CLAIMED he was cheated many times. Each case was proven to be a lie. And many times in many states he was caught trying to get those states to throw out the actual vote results and put in fake ones. And his urging the rioters at the Capitol was to try to prevent Pence from affirming that Biden actually had won the votes.
Tucker Carlson made many millions for himself and for Fox with his lies that Biden did not win and that Trump did not do many of the crimes he has been shown to commit. And even after all that he made for Fox, they realized he had gone way too far and fired him. Even those who still support Trump have seen that Trump was the one cheating.

Even the 2000 mules movie did a better job investigating the cheating. if thr FBI put three same effort into investigating voter fraud that they did tracking down every citizen that was in Washington DC on Jan6th, there would never hadbeen a riot

We already know that Trump is a criminal. He already has many felony charges against him, with more being uncovered almost daily. The only reason he is not already in prison is all the judges he has placed in the courts and the crooked politicians he has helped gain positions backing him. But even they are beginning to fall away from him. And he cannot rely on support from the "news" personalities like Tucker Carlson. Even Fox is tired of how blatantly he has been backing the obvious lies that Trump is still spouting, and has fired him.

People are tired of high prices, high crime, more taxes, drag queen story hours, weaponized justice system, endless wars and unfair trade policies. If you look at Trumps accomplishments, low inflation, energy independence, secure southern border, tough on China and North Korea, strong military and record employment across all demographics.
