If your belief system only works by convincing someone you’re right, do you even have one?

I never try to convince people of my beliefs. I'm more open-minded and my mind can change often. Even if I knew I was 100% right, I still wouldn't try to convince them. People often throw information in your face, but when you ask them to back it up, they just say that's how it is. Everyone has different believes, but everyone can't be right, lol

I have a belief system, however, it is literally for my people, so we do not tend to convince others.

to ofm, sounds like druze? but jew book and christian book and islam all teach to "prosilitize" just many people are not fit for that job or did not train to be polite nor what to emphasize.

That’s an interesting question.
To me, the purpose of being open minded is to eventually close the mind. You do that once you find something you accept as truth. The purpose of being non-biased is to eventually become biased towards what is found to be correct. This can apply to both science and religion. When a person discovers something that is true and right, it’s only natural that they would want to share with others so they too can benefit from the knowledge.

The problem is that so many people have so many different beliefs that they hold to be true, and they often contradict each other. Being open minded is a good thing, but if the mind is always left open, it becomes a little too easy to convince.

I only make it about the facts, stats, data and evidence but of course somebody gets upset, resorts to insults, slander and personal attacks and accuses me of hate, blaming or making excuses

there's nothing quite funny like those who try to psychoanalyze others in debates when they're proven wrong or have run out of arguments left

in general "yes have one" because faith is thought. so they have whatever they think regardles of conditions. the phrase "only works" is vague, but what is certain, christianity does not depend on convincing others, but separate from the core faith, sincere ones will mention they found a treasure and see if the listener wants to share it.
