What sucks about the government system. Is that they give people with ssi very little income. Income that doesn’t cover for rent or bills unless you have someone helping you out. Even food stamps doesn’t cover for food. No matter how many social human services or programs people try to sign up, the government wants people in the hole 🕳. It’s not just people with disabilities, it’s single mothers, military, and retirement. But what upsets me is, citizens saying “oh people who rely on government, sickness me. It’s my taxpaying money.” Even when people try to get a job, they don’t get paid enough or only get jobs that the government picked out for them. Which most of the time is not good.
Now, you want to increase your ssi income? Then you need to write ✍️ a long paragraph explaining to ssa why you NEED a increase. Chances are they won’t give you the increase you are looking for and will only bump it up to %5-%10. Because those are the requirements and then they’ll suggest you apply for section 8 housing. Which sometimes are the shitty apartments. But you need to keep a lookout for new buildings being built under section 8 housing. That with those apartments you only need to pay I think 25% of rent. Not exactly sure, it depends on the state and location.
