Predatory capitalism is a form of capitalism where the markets are freed from most regulations by the government, and in turn, they offer more opportunities to the upper class, allowing them to become the “predators” of the lower classes in turn for profit.

Not sure why you call it "predatory" capitalism - its no more (or less) predatory than most other capitalist countries.

The problem is that there isn't an obviously better system. Some countries (the Nordic countries for example) have stronger social programs, an that seems fine, but they are still capitalist. Countries that abandoned capitalism (USSR, China before about 30 years ago, N. Korea, etc) seem to end up with the population suffering even more

I though we got rid of slavery? I agree, there is little opportunity for poor people to access money in capitalist countries as the rick tie it up. They only share wealth among themselves. It is nothing more than a glorified pyramid scheme. Everyone knows what happens in those situations, they eventually collapse. Look what happened to the borrowing institutions several years ago?

Not all of them at once, but it happens all the time. Look at the amount of industry that's been lost over the years that supported wealth. There are manufacturing ghost towns. All that wealth is going to China now.

Does it outweigh all the old manufacturing wealth though? I gather techno gadgets will plateau at some point as people only buy things they need to make life easier, eventually that'll level off.

It definitely does outweigh what the old industries produced by a lot. The government just gave 858 billion $ to defense contractors for 1 year of production.

Interesting, I would have thought, the manufacturing and production would outweigh the drafting/design part, as the majority of the dollars would go to impoverished countries to produce them less expensively. I guess the rich, save money in these other countries and still pad the product price to make more money.

It's going well for some, a lot of people are being wiped out.

Americans are stupid and poorly trained. I see this with my kids (step)... they get A's in school, very smart... they are taught nothing relevant about life in school. All the relevant training occurs at home... money, finances, credit cards, debt, good debt, keeping them out of debt, college, investing. School is garbage and it's good schools. Add to it their marketing...

my step daughter says today... "can we go to starbucks for coffee". I say no time, you can make some at home. "no"... spoiled! Spending $5 on coffee in a disposable one time only global warming cup. And these are good kids, not the ones throwing their fast food wrapers out the window.

Where is the training to fight against the system? That is the problem.

The last problem is the govt spending is out of control and thus the fed is robbing the people blind by inflation to pay for it all. That has to be fixed.

So "Annie... get your gun get your gun get your gun... take it on the run... the hun"... just like WWI, except the problem isn't the "hun" it's the govt and our society is screwing people. We are stupid enough to allow it.

Well... we recently had the Durham Report explain how a group of corporate oligarchs conspired with the law enforcement wing of the government to falsify evidence against a sitting president to prompt an investigation that it knew was based on false pretenses into that president, and use it to stoke anger against him to make sure he got kicked out of the White House.

That is a effectively a coup.

The Durham Report confirms that the FBI and CIA worked with the media to defy the wishes of the American people and overthrow a duly elected sitting president.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the powers that be in this country might have gone awry.

Not great. 50% of Americans have less wealth than a handful of billionaires. BUT…we are the dumbest country in the industrialized world too.

So that 50% without wealth have the power to take our country back from predatory bug business. But they’re apathetic, pathetic and stupid.
