I live in Canada. June 21st is the start of the summer solstice. Just about 10 days before Canada's independent day in the 1st of July which is also called just Canada day.
So memorial day on the US don't know what day it begins. But sounds like around Canada day 🤔😀

I think people are more in tune with the real meaning of what the day is all about.
It has been well covered in the news, so I think the vast majority of people know what the day is for, beside the start of summer.

No I think not caring about homeless vets and a fcked up VA service takes away from it. We could ask for these to be funded but we’re too busy with anti abortion or trumps taxes to do two things at once.
No, it is all a part of it. Like Independence Day. It would be hard to have fireworks in the winter.
