Trump's base supports him no matter what and many have been swayed to believe the lies he's told: He's being attacked because he's not part of the swamp, others are jealous, everything Biden does is wrong...

Well, even Trump didn't do everything wrong; and therefore Biden's not doing everything wrong either. It's ridiculous to say because someone is not of your party they're a completely awful or corrupt politician.

But Trump has a history of not paying vendors who worked for him, of a bankrupt casino, of getting free loans from his millionaire daddy when something went wrong in his businesses, of being a bully since he was in military school, of, frankly, being out for himself ONLY. And though other politicians may have had gold cross their palms from questionable enterprises or associations, they also recognized the SERVICE aspect of being in government. This isn't on Trump's radar.

He wants to be president for the simple fact of this being the biggest thing he's ever done and he'll be remembered, if for nothing else, for the simple fact that he WAS president and that puts him in the history books forever.

And though Pence and Biden, too, had some classified documents, they turned them over immediately. They didn't consult lawyers or ask them to find ways to HIDE the documents so they could keep them to "show them off" and "impress" random visitors to Mar a Lago who had no security clearances and no business seeing them.

Trump is a legend in his own mind and for some reason his base finds this amazing and backs him all the way.

The man doesn't deserve to go to prison for life, but he needs some jail time to cool his jets and keep him from doing more of the same! He is his own worst enemy and he continues to spout this idiocy about the election being stolen from him when even FOX news reports that this is untrue. Sure, some bad votes were found hither and yon. Maybe a few hundred or a thousand. But they were random. Not caused by the voting machine company or Russia or any group of any kind.

That he wants to attack Hunter Biden and Joe Biden if back in office shows what a poor loser he is. Biden's adult son's behavior has nothing to do with Biden as president. And it's been repeated, ad nauseum, that the Justice Department, independent of the president, launched this investigation. The president made no recommendation to chase Trump. He's paranoid, and a whole lot of other not so great noids, I suspect.

If he's elected again, so be it. I don't think he was great for this country or a great president. But not-great presidents have been elected before and will be again. It's the temperature of the country, and opinion of the people that put presidents in office; as well as editorials and TV debates.

But what I wanna know is what documents George Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama have lingering around their offices or bathrooms.. or have they been smart enough to run their paper shredders full bore before somebody asks that question? Ahahahhha.

Yeah of course, that's what's happening. I admit to my American friends becoming addicted to their local politics and its impact on the global market. But when you keep coming at someone the way you do as a government, this implies that you want them, don't forget that this same type of controversy is what got Trump elected in the first place. In my opinion/observation, yes. Ever since the FBI made a show of raiding his house, the primary has been effectively over before it even began. For the Republican nomination? Probably. The problem for Trump is that he tops out at 45% or so of the general population. To win he either needs a 2016 repeat, getting blown out in California, NY, and Illinois, and eeking out close wins in battlegrounds (3rd party candidate named Jill Stein drew enough to flip several states to him). While that is possible in 2024 with Cornell West on the ballot, even with a weak candidate as Biden currently appears to be it is not a given.

You may be mischaracterizing what many of his supporters are thinking.

The question isn't only did he technically violate any laws, it is what constitutes justice. And there is a very strong argument that unequal application of the law is NOT just. The question many of his supporters are asking is why President Trump has been singled out for prosecution with dubious evidence to support it when the evidence of far worse crimes committed by some of his opponents is far more overwhelming and clear... including people like Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. Why aren't THEY being prosecuted when we know without any doubt that at least Clinton violated numerous portions of the same laws that Trump is being prosecuted for and did far worse. Why is there this chant from the left that "no one is above the law" when that concept is never applied to someone on THEIR side of the isle?

Every America should be outraged about this selective prosecution as it is unconstitutional and a violation of the basic principles of justice. The left only seems to get so worked up about justice when it benefits them politically.

Don't confuse the unlikely and seemingly hopeless prospect of convincing the brainwashed left of the error of their convictions with the very good prospects of being able to DEFEAT THEM if we work hard and smart enough to accomplish it. The problem with the right is that their sense of morality prevents them from getting down in the weeds to fight. The largely Christian influence has induced them to "turn the other cheek" against the enemies of liberty rather than confronting and defeating them. (this is no criticism of Christian's or their beliefs... their values have made enormous contributions to the liberation of the human race).

The problem isn't that the left is beyond convincing, the problem is that the right is not working hard enough to defeat them and assuring that our value system and not theirs prevails.

If you cannot persuade, your only option is to defeat. The left follows this rule, but the right is turning the other cheek all the way to hell. It is late in the game, but we can still win this. But we have to fight for it. We need to transition from attempting to convince, which has failed, to attempting to defeat.

I've been sitting here trying to find an analogy explaining what I'm trying to say here. Ok, here's one:
It's your first day of school in 6th grade. All the kids are saying how mean the teacher is and always giving a big fat "F" on the tests you will be taking.
So, you, with all of your confidence and expert math skills believes you will pass the math test. So she passes out the test, and you know you are going to ace the test.
So, she has graded the test and passed them back to the students. You are so anxious to see an "A" on your test (and you did answer all of the problems correctly), however, there is that big fat F on your paper.
You keep secreming "This isn't fair! I got all the problems right!" The teacher sticks to her F's she continues to give on tests. Everyone agrees it's not fair. The children's parents complain to the Principal, but she acts like there is nothing wrong, and ends the meeting. So, they go to the Superintendent of Schools and the parents tell him what has happened to his son. He too, See's there is nothing wrong and the teacher did everything fine.
So, the boy carries all of his F's he received all semester and after summer is over, he is put in the special needs classes for the semester. He complains to no end. He explained what happened in 6th grade to the new Dean, but he sees nothing wrong with the classes they put him in, and turns his cheek to the boy. No matter that he he is right and has pleaded his case to everyone, he is still stuck with being a special needs child and put in classes that he is too smart for, and needs to have his brain more stimulated. But, because all of the people in charge that could fix his problem find nothing wrong. Ad nauseam
