I don't think it will work.
I think this is bad and shit will escalate quickly if he does anything stupid and then who knows what that means for the globe. I am embarrassed to be human. The fact we still resort to this much violence is absurd and will be what eventually destroys all of us. Unless one day we can actually just stop being so violent towards each other.
Good question/hypothesis. I am more afraid, retreating Russian troops will create a nuclear incident in the Zaporozhye power plant, blaming the AFU. Quasi the more extreme version what they did at the Nova Kakhovka dam.
Denys Davydov mentions that scenario also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjhRbPU8dBI

No, that's more likely to have better range and response time for a first strike. I'm more surprised they aren't making use of the rocket trucks or the single use firing platforms, but I heard the logistics for both are a nightmare, so probably they can't be used outside of Russia, let me see if I can pull something up helpful for that.

MAD isn't so much the thing as securing a first strike to cripple your enemies launch capability, then level their cities. If Russia can position short range launchers to cripple bases and silos in Europe to free up submarines like the blackhole stealth sub and their new nuclear sub to get first strike on US silos and position to US fleets they can flip the table.
None of this takes into account MIRVs which are nukes that launch with multiple warheads and targets. say one launches, and instead of the ability to eliminate a city and its suburbs, it has 5-8 nukes that have the power of 5-8 hiroshimas or more to target that many cities, military bases or silos.
Also bear in mind that first strike means an EMP for every target, so if a small launch from Ukraine hits moscow, they can't send signals to launch to their other silos or subs, though the same applies to if a sub hits DC. The timescales for these being very very swift. Like if a bomber carrying a nuke takes off to its target, the base it left from is likely no longer there.
Yeah and what's the point of nuking a place you want to take back as your own? The leveling and rebuilding of cities economically alone is ridiculous and the nuclear fall out, poisoning the ground you grow food out of? It is all so confusing and wrong.
@Friendlybro79 Basically if I can't have it and you want to take more, I'll make sure there's nothing to take.
I'm not sure if you're saying that's your personal opinion on how to handle a situation or the situation that's between Ukraine and Russia. I agree that's possibly a mentality when you're dealing with pure evil.
@Friendlybro79 Why does it have to be evil? There is a strong drive to have your citizens thrive and survive, as well as yourself. We use most of the world's resources in the US. They aren't just given to us out of goodness of other people's hearts or because of extras or not desiring them.
Our defense budget and the endless wars are a large part of that as well. What was it, war is diplomacy through other means?
I'm just not sure what you're getting at. We pay for the resources we use so I'm not sure how Russia killing people over lies about the Ukrainians being Nazis has to do with your point. What's happening in Ukraine is pure evil.
@Friendlybro79 I don't think it's evil, it's a clash of agendas. The fallout of lives lost is horrendous, no doubt, but that's the break.
Both sides are going to run their own propaganda, and we do pay for the resources we use, while if the price doesn't look right we will engage in proxy wars. We don't engage in total war though. Like if you want to criticize one thing about Russia, they are brutal in their warfare. You can look at the population of Iraq and Afghanistan during us going to war with them and they actually grew.
When Afghanistan was at war with Russia they took a noticeable dip in population the entirety of the time they were at war with Russia. I mean, that is war though. If we were gentle even during say, the Korean war which was an ideological proxy war there wouldn't be a South Korea. That was a horrendous war according to all accounts and the few veterans I know who fought in it.
@razelove again I'm not understanding your point. Honestly you're not making any sense to me and talking in points that don't make sense to your original reply if I can't have it I'll make sure there's NOTHING to take. You're talking in circles about it and referencing other situations as if that has anything to do with if I can't take it I'll make sure there's nothing left. Please don't respond to me if you can't make any sense. You're just talking in circles. What's the point in making sure there's nothing left? No one wins. It's stupid and I don't care anymore about you're opinion. Basically I'm saying I'm not going to respond any longer to you because your last response has no sources to fact check what you're saying regarding population dips etc. It seems like I say something and you respond with something completely different to what I'm challenging you with.
For ex I say whats your point to x and you rbong up something different. So all this being said I'm out lol. You're not staying on topic. Goodbye and have a nice life
That last paragraph was supposed to say for ex I say what's the point with x and you come up with an answer to a different question.
I don't think it's for plausible deniability.
I think Putin is dying and giving his shit away to fellow warmongers promising him whatever the Ruzzian equivalent of a jihad is.
He's a dictator with cancer, there's few scarier things.
who knows, but how trained are those troops and what kind of accidents and mistakes can occur?
It might be time to Google "How to become a Canadian citizen" because we all know Putin will start nuking the US after he nukes Ukraine.
Putin has been bragging about nukes since the beginning of the war and that means their losses on the field are unbearable lmao 😹😹😹.
