That wouldn't happen if the music was going to be the same. No self-respecting soul men would ever sing that shit. Some of it was ok for white boys in that era, because that's what white pop sounded like. But black pop was MUCH better than that in the mid 60's - they had Motown. The Monkees TV show lasted 2 years for 58 episodes, and the band lasted only 3 years.
They’d hopefully be smart enough to pick another name.
