How long will humans last on earth?

Hard to say. We’ll last until we destroy the climate and the planets ecosystems. It all depends on whether we embrace science or continue to embrace politics that emphasize selfishness. It’s all up to us collectively.

Thousands more years. Life may change, there maybe more pandemics and wars but there's over 7 billion people. The species will go on for a long time.

It won't be one cause. 100 years ago the population was under 2 billion sonhas exploded in a handful of generations. The population will burn through resources quickly but in itself it wouldn't end the species. War and disease have been going on as long as the records go back and hasn't stopped the population growth.
Whilst lots of things may have some bearing I think ultimately it will be a natural event like super volcano or asteroid that will end humans.

Natural desasters are the (al-) most unpredictable and unstoppable events, so I'd agree with you. All we can is to clean up the mess and build more safety bunkers and pray. Death is death. Inevitable.

Was it Deep Impact where they created large caves and were moving 10'000 people to safety, hoping to live underground for a number of years. If such thing was possible, even as a result of a natural disaster it maybe possible for the human race to survive. Killing off an entire species isn't that easy if they are spread around the whole globe, living in many different climates.
