An example of doing more harm than good is the department af education. The performance of our schools is just abysmal. That should be handled locally. The IRS is just a corrupt monstrosity that needs cleaned out. Throw em all away and start over. Of course some of them will need replaced with something, that would be for DeSantis to figure out.

The FEDERAL Government doesn’t have the right to have a department of education. Washington state can have its laws as a state to build it own department of education Alabama has its right to form a department of education. Same does for the rest of the 50 states. The FEDERAL government has no right to have a department of education.

FBI may be corrupt but its different from sherrif's departments. Without the FBI, there would be no check at all on local law enforcement. Remember the judge (Maybe Texas, not sure) who was taking money to send kids to juvi hall? We need a way to stop that.

Having separate local and federal law enforcement gives some amount of checks and balances. Federal courts are also pretty separate from the FBI, but local law enforcement and courts are often pretty closely tied together
