Because they're not- nothing we could do could even come CLOSE to destroying the planet. We COULD make it less habitable for a lot of lifeforms, including ourselves, but...

Earth itself does that JUST fine without us.

Likewise, the idiotic insistence on focusing exclusively on global warming (which isn't in the top five dangers of anthropogenic climate change), and on carbon dioxide on top of THAT (which is a very minor greenhouse gas) would make any rational person dubious even if the alarm industry WASN'T using models that've been completely disproven.

Does that mean the whole idea is wrong? Of course not- but as it's being preached, human-GHG-produced global warming ISN'T real, and insisting otherwise ain't going to change it. Even Edgar Whisenant COULD have been right. Accept reality and update your models, or you're going to fail, and be right in failing.

Probably because the people who claim to be fighting climate change fly around in private jets, own huge yachts, and have multiple properties—many of them right on the beach.
