Why are ignorant people not taking climate change as seriously as they should?

If we don’t do something right now the planet is going to be ruined. What is wrong with people? None of these other things are going to matter if you don’t have a decent planet to live on. This is not a matter of debate is a scientific consensus nearly every scientist on the planet agrees.

Why aren't people taking climate change seriously? I'll give you a few reasons.

1. The people pushing this garbage definitely don't take it seriously! When you look at the lifestyles of any one talking about it, they prove CC isn't really as serious as they proclaim. They travel to any of the meetings/gatherings in private yachts, private jets, and use limousines or gas guzzling vehicles to travel in. Afterwards, they continue that same lifestyle. Al Gore is an example of what I'm talking about. His house is over 20,000 square feet in size! And he's lived in it for years, all the while proclaiming we need to do something about climate change or we're all going to die! Yet, he's changed... nothing!

2. Specifically... (I mean this), what CAN be done to change the climate? What actions truly change the actual climate of the world? The only thing I keep hearing, is nonstop antipollution actions. OK, I'm willing to keep pollution at a minimum. But not to the point we have to live like it's 1850, riding horses, no electricity, no natural gas fueled homes. There's no need for that.

3. All I see is a massive financial commitment by America (God knows what we're wasting our $$TRILLION$ taxes on), but ZERO commitment by the WORST 10 polluting countries of the world. It's like everyone else gets to pee in the pool EXCEPT America 🇺🇸. Yet, the pollution from this country falls among the least polluted period.

If there's no debate, then it's not science, it's religion. As to why poople don't take it seriously, it's because so many others insist on clinging to a losg-debunked model which holds that all of Florida will be underwater by 2000. I look around, I see a helluva lotta land still visible.

Of course, mistakes in math don't mean the whole theory is wrong, and evet if the core of the global warming we're seeing isn't anthropogenic, that doesn't mean we shouldm it worse, but this leads into the second problem: solutions that don't help. When all you have to offer is partisan rhetoric and pie-in-the-sky schemes that don't accept or reflect reality, the surprising thing is that ANYONE takes you seriously.
