Evolution relies on speciation... which will never happen unless a small subset of people get isolated and form a new gene pool... which obviously isn't happening nowadays.

In fact we are degenerating... the speciation that was happening... that produced whites, blacks, Asians... is being reversed through mixing.

Most people are unaware that... when the population is large enough... it doesn't change much at all if at all over time. This is why ancestors of humans still exist. Our ancestors got isolated from them.

Um, the ancestors of human's DON'T exist any more- I'm curious where you think that homo erectus and habilus are still hanging around. Unless you meant chimps, but those are our cousins, not our ancestors- we're both descended from a common ancestor, but that ancestor is LONG gone.

At any rate, that's not how evolution works. If a mutation produces a trait that gives individuals a competitive advantage, then that trait will, over time, become more and more prevalent, eventually displacing the "normal" version altogether- unless the environment changes so that it's no longer an advantage.

The size of the population has nothing to do with it; the Antarctic krill is so damn numerous that their total biomass outweighs humanity. And they're two inches long. Their evolution proceeds apace. If ours doesn't, it's not because of our numbers, but because of our ability to change our environment to suit ourselves. Any advantage given would have to be HUGE to give a reproductive advantage, since survival is almost a non-issue these days.

And no, we are in no way "degenerating". Evolution is not progress towards a goal, but away from a starting point. Are you really saying that mixed race people are more like prokaryotes than purebloods?

We’re likely in the midst of an evolutionary bottleneck associated with the decline of Western civilization, which is in a cosmopolitan stage during which invasion and/or mass migrations into the declining power often happen. Ethnogenesis will invariably occur again after the decline runs its course.

Nope, evolution is currently at its turning point and we are an in between generation of a new direction of how the world is going to go. We will probably not be alive or will be too old to see how human evolution will change in so in years. The world is currently so heavily depressed and against each other people people equate a lot of old human evolution as the way to live when we don’t know if the new evolution will never beneficial or not

That's an interesting POV. But from my perspective, depressing curing "drugs" are allowing mentally unstable people to appear attractive and stable enough just long enough to reproduce. Same for coffee. It gives certain low energy people enough of a boost for long enough to deceive their partner... eventually it shows that they dont have the energy to have a healthy relationship. That's just one example out of literal thousands of drugs people are using to mask their issues.

@myownman2 drugs have been around even during early evolution ages. Drugs have very little to do with human evolution. Moderation is key for everything to begin with

Changing the topic then... why are we relying on Adderall and energy drinks to function normally? Instead of addressing the root cause of their low energy. Like regularly consuming fermented food will increase the baseline of dopamine by 30-40%. The same as coffee.

Profits are often not made by helping others. Even big corporations are not there to help people even if they market that they do “benefit” people.

I dont think it's about profits. I think the medical doctors don't do their own research. So it's their fault. Human nature's fault. Lazy.

How is it not about profits if unhealthy living habits are often marketed? Most doctors do their own research but they aren’t getting paid by their own research , they are getting paid to market off what they are told to market off.

A doctors visit and bloodwork is like $400. If they had people coming in every month for checkups like they should... they'd make a lot. Drugs should be only for specialist doctors ti prescribe when natural cures dont work.

So here’s the thing, the reason why they don’t have people coming in for check ups as much as they should is because it’s a lot easier to build up illnesses when you can’t do what you is needed /aren’t doing what is needed and illnesses are how the medical industry profits. The medical industry does not profit off of healthy people.

Okay I see. But when someone comes in for Adderall, they shouldn't be allowed to just give them pills without working with them on their actual health.

Evolution relies on a high pre-reproductive age mortality rate. Advances in medical and social care have thankfully reduced those deaths so there's an argument evolution has slowed down.

But I'd argue we've now got access to a far wider gene pool now and that's what's going to push human evolution forward. We've switched from evolution being death driven to being more influenced by female sexual selection.

Okay. But that means 99% of men won't reproduce. Which will cause civil war. And negate the medical system that's saving baby's lives. Not only that but we have less babies being born. Meaning less diversity for women to choose to begin with.

Nope humans are still evolving for example a lot of us are being born without wisdom teeth and a muscle in the wrist that helped with climbing trees is now no longer being seen in our biology also our brains are getting smaller to help us think faster so no humans are still evolving

Evolutionary speaking in the blink of an eye the female's are about to become very much more dimwitted via natural selection.

Um no. There’s no such thing as a goal or “more” evolved in evolution. It’s just the most adapted species to the environment are more likely to survive.

I would agree tech is making the environment adapt to us as far as I can tell, but that doesn’t mean much. And not really a big deal.
