Yes Tax Dollars pay for that meaning Taxes will have to go up. If college graduates can't earn enough to pay back their loans why should tax payers pay off their loans, many taxpayers who didn't go to college but instead got a job? This will just encourage colleges to keep admitting students who are not academically fit enough to attend college and colleges to continue the worthless degree mill and over charging students.

As black American the idea of reparations is insulting white liberal bullshit to secure votes. Its as insulting as claiming voter ID is racist.

I would remind you that taxpayers are currently still paying for the 20 year long war on terror, the banking crisis, the global recession, Covid19 and now the war in Ukraine. Meanwhile the infrastructure of the US is rotting and actually costing taxpayer money. Student loan forgiveness is like the stimulus checks we all got, we were given our own money to blow on crap we didn't need and of course we were going to pay it back down the line with intrest.

Right wingers don't like to spend money on things they don't approve of like health care and aid to the poor and education. On the other hand, socialism for defense contractors and other large corporations is perfectly fine with them. They're complaints about money, are way of deflecting their concerns about ideology.
