Without giving away too much information, how much rent do you pay?
1. City you live in?
2. Do you rent, mortgage, own (please including type of housing. Ex. Apartment condo, house)
3. Is your city facing a housing crisis?

Rent 900 a month for 2bdr condo in Myrtle Beach. It was originally 1200 but landlord is a friend of my dad.
I should self invite. Myrtle beach is suppose to be extremely beautiful but very pricey for tourists.
It is, and it’s expensive for renters too. It’s cheaper than NY and Jersey so that’s why everyone from those areas are flocking here and saying it’s so cheap, but as someone who grew up in Indiana, Myrtle is overcrowded and overpriced. Though, it’s nice to go to the beach and we have many things to do and places to eat, as long as you have money lol.
Thank you for sharing this information with me. It helps me to better understand.
It’s like Toronto also. It’s expensive as a local but stupid experience as a visitor.
I live in a 3 bedroom apartment with 2 other roomates close to the city and my rent is 320 USD (very good deal in these times)
Very much a good deal. Is your city a well known one?
Yes in Europe😄

I own a house, so no rent for me.

my first real job and my first apt. $900 (2bdrooms). I got a roommate, so I paid $400.
my second apt. with my first husband. $1200. One bedroom 700 sq ft.
next apt. $1400. 2 bedrooms 1000 sq ft 2 kids. divorced.
No alimony and no child support. I moved into a 400 sq ft apt. $1300. My kids in a bunk bed. Me in living room.
ex. In a large 2 bedroom 1300 sq ft with door man. $3000. 10 blocks away. At that point, we decided to co own our investment building of 3 rentals. We each prob. got about $500. a month rent after all the mortgages and expenses.
After the divorce settles…I moved into a larger 2 bedroom apartment for $1400.
All with my one income.
met my second husband. Decided to sell the property due to Covid… with that money and my new husband sold his house…we bought a house together with all cash.
so no mortgages. We also bought other properties all cash. We have rental income. He is now a stay at home dad and I work.
my ex husband also bought a house, but he took out a mortgage. His decision. His new wife has a paid for 2 bedrooms in the city, they have rental income as well.
since my 20s and first job… money has not been an issue. During the hard times…I just went to a smaller apt. And my kids have very fond memories of the little apt.
our monthly expenses for the house (tax, water, gas, eletric…etc) to keep the house is $2k.
we enjoy our mortgage free life style and eat well, travel…our monthly expenses is about $6k-$10k depending what we do. We travel a lot and buy better quality foods.
we are also setting aside money for our kids college. My ex wants them to take out loans. I disagree. I want my kids to come out from college with no loans and just save up to have mortgage free, loan feee life.
I have a fixed mortgage and pay about $1,000 a month
