I wouldn’t even go to someone’s house if I knew they owned guns. I want nothing to do with those people.
A legal abiding gun owner can become a criminal real quick once they decide to use their weapon in an illegal way.

Trending & News I wouldn’t even go to someone’s house if I knew they owned guns. I want nothing to do with those people.
I sure would. I held some biases about guns and gun ownership until the past few years, where I met people who owned guns- household members, coworkers, and friends. They are normal, civilized, mentally stable people. I was basically against current gun laws in the face of news events, and I do think there must be ways to comprehend gun violence- from suicide to mass murder- without abolishing the second amendment altogether.
There are guns in my home currently and it actually gives me peace of mind, because should something happen, the visual threat should usually be enough to deter anyone wishing harm on me. It’s good to have the option when it comes to safety. I have even had the opportunity to shoot a pistol, and while I’m no Marshall, there is a sense of contentment to operate a burdensome tool.
I believe those incidences are rare overall and say more about the person than the lawful right to bear arms.
i mean id trust you. but I don't know about other people.
I get that. But I think statistics wise, most gun owners are like you and me.
i dont think thats entirely true. i think legal gun owners do sometimes use them to harm others outside of self defense. especially if alcohol is involved.
In 2021, 54 percent of deaths by firearms were suicide. The rates of murder by gun vary widely from state to state. I have no doubt that crazy people have something they should never have, but there are a lot of misconceptions also.

i'm aware of the statistics. i'm also aware of the violence associated with guns even with legal gun owners. i'm not a man to gamble on chance, and guns are generally just violent tools that aren't necessary to have.
That's ok, we don't want anything to do with you either.
I believe that those who own guns have different reasons and motivations in doing so, and that it is not always indicative of their potential for violence or malice. I understand your reservations, but I would not let my opinions on gun ownership come between potential friendship. We both have more to offer than that.
I have many friends that own guns and this question is stupid. You wouldn’t be friends with someone for wanting to protect themselves and their families? Now clearly I wouldn’t be friends with a gun nut who only talks about guns and shooting people but avoiding people for simply owning a gun is idiotic
because guns are dangerous
So are people
exactly, so dangerous people + guns = bad.

Take your meds. The whole site is talking about you.
I would say what an unhinged thing to say but you’re a bot.
Like no way a real human would come up with this.
Why are the MAGA Republicans against me for being a Red-tailed hawk? ↗
And a username like karen444.
Yes. If it were legal I would have a firearm myself. I'd happily be friends with people who have them
Same can happen with a kitchen knife, A baseball bat. Anything thing can be a weapon. You gunna defriend anyone who owns anything?
Can’t defend yourself from a gun. Easier to defend against a knife.
I have several friends that own guns. My guns are non lethal.
Wait, aren’t you the guy who wants to take out “white supremacists”? Bahahahahahaha
Sure, but I would remind myself to never get into a heated argument with them.
actually true. especially if theyre alcoholics.
Farmers and police, OK, but nobody else.
